Honestly, my Dad would have kicked my ass if I was their age and didn't have a job.

No doubt. My folks were the same way. If I wasn't at school, doing some sort of sporting event, studying or at my after-school part-time job, my dad was finding all kinds of creative crap for me to do around the house like picking up rocks off the property or mowing the 2 acre lawn he bought my brother and I a crappy garage-sale mower with no bag on it to use for the purpose. I resented the hell out of him for all that, but you know what I realized when I got out into the real world? I'm not afraid of hard work at all and it usually sets me apart from my peers in a very big way, which is sort of the lesson he wanted my brother and I to learn.

I'll tell you how to make lots of cash at the casino, using a rather reliable method indeed! However, you need some cash to start with? Do you actually have any?

I'm going to Vegas in June. Let's hear your "reliable method".

Anyhow,

Bet on every single corner on the board, then after one spin, take off the ones surrounding that number and up all the other corners, follow the method until you reach a reasonable amount of profit, then reset.

You need at least 400 to start doing this, but it works rather well indeed.

talking to me? if sot: i could'nt help it, i had a business teacher actually set up a job for me working at wahsington mutual, when i told my mom she said no, and she made a huge rant, of how i was going to drop out of school and go work full time. i have no idea why she got that idea tho. anyways the next week my business teacher was pissed at me for not accepting the job

This requires less and works pretty well, a good blackjack technique:

Draw the same as the dealer, so you always draw till you hit 17 or higher, playing consistently gives you a run eventually, you can always just up it so that when it comes in, you're covered and make profit.

It's the common allure of the college student actually.

19-20 year old kids are working at places, especially bars, waiters and restaurants and they are picking up a few hundred dollars a night in tips which is more then they have ever made before which causes them to ditch school.

The problem with that is there is no room for growth and you pretty much won't make more than you already do working there whether it be your first year or your fifth year etc.

We're staying at Mandalay Bay this trip. My wife really likes it there. It's been a few years since we stayed there, so we're looking forward to going back after trying rooms at Bellagio (too many stuffed shirts stay there), Venetian (more stuffed shirts), Paris (we like this hotel and casino quite a bit) and New York, New York (nice rooms!). Of all of them, we just like the atmosphere of MB more than the others, though. The only thing I hate about the place is that the pool gets UBER crowded and it's difficult to get a lounge chair there.

Quick Vegas tip: When you check in to your room, put a $20 between your ID and your credit card and ask the person checking you in if they have any room upgrades available. I've gotten some very nice free room upgrades (to suites and such) doing this and I've only had it not work twice, but I think that was more due to the time we were checking in. If you check in early (you can arrange this with the hotel) it usually works like a charm. If you're checking in at Noon like everyone else, your chances are 50/50 and that's when both of my only failures with this method occurred. I've also had good luck checking in in the late afternoon/early evening as they save a lot of the good rooms for late check-ins and have cancellations occurring by then. We actually got a HUUUUUUGE room at the Venetian this way once, with it's own jacuzzi tub, an incredible view of the strip, a flat screen plasma TV that came up out of a hidden compartment, fridge and all sorts of other goodies.
