Superman Returns I really wanted to like this film, but...

It is also their choice to decide what is allowed and what isn't in regards to repetative threads. It seems that you believe only positive threads are allowed to stay open, how does that have anything to do with JCDC or any other poster. We don't wear RED.

That's the funny thing, I'm the one who made the friggin OT. I don't go to mods complaining about trolling when a negative thread is made. So for him to use me as an example when I don't do that stuff is utterly ridiculous.

Again, I didn't say it did. Which is why I don't think he should be getting so upset. If this thread is closed, I would at least like for the point to made and possibly taken into consideration. This may not be exactly relevent to SR at this point, but niether are a lot of posts, including JCDS's. I did not know where else I could make this point

You know what? I will tell them to close my thread just for you, and you can have this one open. Whatever floats your boat.

lol, as I've stated, thats not what would "float my boat"

Your not listening. I dont want it to be closed. But niether should mine be.

With your "thread" copying me word for word, I'd rather mine be closed that co-exist with yours.

Had you made a "I dislike this film because..." and explained it that would have been fine. Instead you chose to copy. Eh, not my cup of tea. Read the first page of my thread, everyone was had... Got tricked... Had fun with it. Your thread was no fun, it was just more arguing. All of what this forum has been about lately, argue argue, complain, whine... BLECH

Just close my thread.

I want you people's opinon on this. Should I make a thread made solely for "Likes and dislikes" where every poster, rather than argue with each other over subjective stuff, posts their own Likes and dislikes in the same post in this format:

Likes:

Bla bla bla etc.

Dislikes:

Bla bla bla etc.

I think that'd be more balanced and decrease all the "hater" "fanboy" "singerboy" namecalling garbage since their thoughts aren't always negative or always postive. Would that work?

I think that if you like Superman :The Movie, you'll love Superman Returns

Probably the comics fans will be split in two (but, I'm sure that the most part willl still love it.
And what about Smallville fans? IMO they'll dislike it...

Enough Said

You know, if the original poster really wanted to make a post similar to JC's, it would have worked much more if he worked within the same frame of misdirection. Instead of "I really wanted to like this film" just go with the "I really wanted to hate this film" and follow the thread to the same conclusion.

You know im not 100% sold on this movie but I want to see it for if anything this scene alone...

The scene looks great from that shot! :)

I just dont.

The plot is highly derivative and formulatic.

Discuss.

No, it's not. Discussion done :D

:) Damn I can't see any holes in that argument. You win. Hooray!

Mine is different. It's a joke aimed at BOTH sides. Those that expected it to be a bash SR thread and were ready to kill me, were in no simpler word... HAD. :) Those that were in support of the same old "why I don't like this movie" thread, were also duped. It basically screwed everyone. Gotta love it :D

I still fail to see how yours is aimed at both sides. Were you to say something like "If you don't agree, you're just a stupid hater"...yea...but its clearly not.

Here's a funny story for you....

Once upon a time....a poster made a thread about a certain subject......AND PEOPLE ACTUALLY DISCUSSED WHAT THE THREAD WAS ABOUT!!!!

Isn't that hilarious?

I love that story.

How is the plot derivative and formulatic?

I had the lead in my school play of that story.

My many years living among the Amish helped me through it.
