This has been done already. Back in the 1980's there was a cartoon of a kid who was sucked into his Nintendo. He had a belt buckle made out of nintendo controller that gave him strength, speed and agility as well as a Nintendo Pistol. He was sucked into some Zelda-ish World.

That was the inspiration I just jazzed it up for the new millenium
