Here's a work in progress for this month's art contest, which I will never win...

Still need to go back and do some work on it, color and such, work on the background so you can tell what it is and doesn't look like crap.

it no where looks like crap, dude.

Thanks, ComicPeople. :cwink: Here's the color version. Don't have photoshop or anything, so...yeah for colored pencils!

Here's a self portrait sketch I just did this afternoon.

Here's a new one for the contest. Jubilee as Wolverine's sidekick. Since she's currently depowered (?) that sounds weird...I gave her his broken bone claws from back in the day mounted on a glove and a short katana. I figure Wolverine had to teach her how to kick some serious boo-tay in hand-to-hand combat, so she could still be a hero.

Version 1: Black and white

Version 2: Color

That Angelina makes me happy in the pants.

Hey, your pencil drawings are really cool. For some reason I'm really digging the hand on Shaun. It's terrific. :)

You've got a really good handle on faces, but sometimes the head size is inconsistent. Like, Shaun's head is tiny for his body size.

Colored pencils are a pain to handle, LOL...but maybe you'd want to try layering colors instead of using one color? Would make it more interesting and add more depth.

You definitely aren't crap, dude! Good work!

Thanks. I kind of noticed that, I've always had a little bit of a problem with head sizes. Part of that one I think is because I tried to make it a little small because half of his head doesn't have any skin or muscle on it...or at least that's my excuse anyway.:cwink: I'm not a big fan of coloring my stuff most of the time, but that's partly because I'm a little color blind, and a lot of people don't consider something "finished" unless it's colored.

Truth is, a head is mostly bone, LOL. If it's just a skull it won't have fullness in the cheeks (nor a nose), but the size is still there. For me, when it comes to doing heads, they're never big enough. When they're too big, you'll definitely know, but most people (including me) draw heads too small.

I think that pencil drawings can be as finished as colored stuff, but that's just me. Maybe it's your choice of medium. Colored pencils are just begging to be layered, since they've got the "holes" from the paper texture. If you were to use marker, it would seem more "comic booky."

Yeah, my cousin says he's color-blind too, and he can't tell red from green. Must have been interesting when taking Chinese painting lessons...but at least a lot of stuff there is black and white. :)

Your black and whites are beautiful.

It was the best "music" video they ever did. O god, that whole episode was funny. Who knew Justin Timberlake could be THAT funny. And it's always something when he does drag. Although, it was funnier when he played Jessica Simpson.

That was great. He's probably one of the better hosts they've had in the last few years.

Here's a new sketch, didn't feel like doing the hair. It's supposed to be Kristanna Loken, but I don't think it turned out looking like her.

After a long hiatus, I'm back. Here's a drawing of a gorilla...kinda looks like he could be Grodd.

Thanks, Mee. Here's one from a while back I did for the Nostalgia redesign thread.

Captain N: The Game Master. It was a cartoon back in the 80s.
