Good lord I am so bored at work right now...good thing I have access to the net and Photoshop software.

Figured I'd post a couple images from a comic series I am working on.

It's kind of a "Steampunk" victorian gothic thing, the main character is Industrial Angel, with a few back up characters. It's a work in progress but let me know what y'all think.

Wow. VERY cool. Love the style and I'm dying to find out more of this guy's story.

yeah . . . very nice work . . . reminds me of SCUD: The Disposable Assassin

Very nice characther mate, love the drawings and the ink is amazing too.

Can we hear more on the characther's origin??

Thanks Guys...He's still kind of a work in progress...

Basically he's created do defeat the 4 horsemen of the apocalypse. The horsemen are actually aliens from a tryrannical empire that have been sent to earth to duke it out until there is only one left standing. The one remaining will be the sole heir to their father's vast empire.

Humans are oppressed and the thing that could have saved them mysticism/magic was destroyed by religious zealousness. However, once the 4 horseman show up a small group find the ancient rituals and create their own version of the Golem: Industrial Angel. But before the ritual is complete the Horsemans minions break in and execute the conspirators. The soul of the sacrifice that was to inhabit the body of IA became lost for awhile and the vessel was thrown on a scrap heap.

Sammy Jane, our young tomboy heroine ends up in the scrap heap and finds herself at the mercy of a group of thugs. While they get ready to do her in, IA wakes up and does them in. However, he has no memory of why he was created or what his task is supposed to be. So he teams up with Sammy Jane who attempts to help him find who his purpose.

Love the pics:up:

Like the idea except the overzealousness killed our chances of survival:(

Yeah...like I say it's still in development. But I like the idea that we doomed ourselves because of our prejudice. And the fact that we turned towards technology to the detriment of nature...especially during the industrial age when my story takes place (somewhere after the civil war up to the WW1, just haven't fully decided yet.)

I like the rely too heavily on science not nature and self thing. But i don't really like when people are like all religous people hate everybody else and that's why we have war and stuff. (not saying thats what your saying by the way) but it's your story so:)

Cool story. Very original.

I'd read it.

the idea behind the religious zealous thing is that religion and specifically christianity viewed anything outside of their sphere as evil. So they persecuted everyone outside of that wicca, druids, witches etc. the people who looked to commune with nature and utilize "magic". During the inquisition, crusades and throughout history the church sought to eradicate this line of thought. So the people who could have fought against the 4 horsemen using "magic" were actually wiped out by the church.

So it's like this the church always looks to God to save them. Well the problem is God gave us the tools to save ourselves, by allowing us to commune with nature, "magic" etc. But because a small group decided God didn't want that they destroyed our only chance of salvation.

Just wanted to post something new...I don't know why but my other account wouldn't let me post anything so I had to sign in with a new one...but it's still me.

But there is historical basis for religious persecution of more "pagan"/esoteric practices, ecspecially for the time period.
