Logan I still WANT the costume!

Had they made a real version of the folded up prop from The Wolverine I feel that could have worked on flashback.

Colossus costume looks pretty good. I wouldn't mind seeing him in that for Deadpool 2.

Also if Ryan ever convinces Hugh to do Deadpool/Wolverine then I would hope he at least has the costume there.

Crazy as it sounds I think the Wolverine costume would only work in a Deadpool crossover movie. The Deadpool universe doesnt take itself that seriously and that's the only time I can see the Wolverine costume in a movie without looking corny. Sucks Hugh said he wont be doing a Deadpool crossover anytime soon.

I agree with the director. Logan, as he exists in the films, wouldnt put on that costume. He didnt even like the black jumpsuits in X1. Him putting on a garrish yellow costume would be way out of character for the film Logan.

I can buy that logic, and it actually makes me hopeful this is truly the end of Jackman's era.

It really rubs me the wrong way when people adapting comics can't grasp the idea of superhero outfits. You're completely in the wrong field.

The only piece of Wolverine's iconic costume that wouldn't work is the head piece just like Cyclops' Part of his costume covering His head and the head piece of Storm, Polaris and Scarlet Witch.

It's still ashame though. I feel sorry for whoever takes on the Wolverine role after Hugh Jackman. It's abit like the Christian Bale's Batman scenario, before Ben Affleck even had any photos taken in the Batsuit he already had so many negative fans batting against him. This will be exactly the same with Wolverine.

You are essentialy proposing a different costume design for the sake of your argument. If we are to stick with the standard comic design (bright yellow and the mask on), yes it would look ridiculous on screen.

You need the mask if you're ever to represent the costume properly. What you're proposing has essentially already been done in Days of Future Past and to a lesser extent the first three X-men films.

It's great that they've finally given him a good film, as a sendoff for the actor and the character
but I can't help but think of ALL the missed opportunities with Fox's Wolverine:
-Never getting the Costume
-No Omega Red, no (real) Silver Samurai, no Ogun, not even Gorgon
-Never had a good fight in a good movie against Sabertooth
-No real interaction with Kitty or Jubilee (replaced by Rogue)
-Very little interaction with Nightcrawler or Colossus, two of his closest friends in the comics
-Never fought a Sentinel [on screen]
-No Hellfire Club battle
-No Daken/Red Right Hand
and obviously
-no chance for interaction with Cap, Spidey, Fury, or any other MCU characters that played a big role in his life

Not that these are the end of the world, and they in no way affect the quality of "Logan".
But even though Fox is finally giving him the movie he deserves, I cannot forgive them for all the many wasted opportunities they had with the character.

Actually anything can be done if done right..Where theres a Will there is a way and anything can work....Remeber the Bruce Lee Yellow Jump Suit is it not now considered one of the most lethal outfits he wore even reused in Kill Bill?
What if he had to wear it or what if he had to conceal his identity because people think he is Dead or Looking for him...
Bruce gets the outfit in the Movie by beating up a Motorcyle guy and taking his outfit to disguise himself as one of them.
Anything can be done.
For instance lets say they made 100 X24s for whatever reason and decided to clothe them in that particular outfit like Storm troopers and the real Wolverine has to wear one to blend in to go undercover.
Wow that alone would have made for an awesome Movie.
Imagine also Then takes a liking to it but darkens it into the Dark Brown one that he had for the next film.

No, he's done, if they bring Hugh, or even Wolverine back in any way shape or form it'll just ruin the ending on Logan and ruin the movie as a whole.
