is it normal to be 21 and still have your teeth(especially your wisdom tooth) growing in? on the other side of my jaw i already have a wisdom tooth there, but i was just feeling around my mouth with my tongue and just noticed that i didnt have one on the other side( i do feel something is definitely there)...it does hurt a tiny bit. am i going have to get it pulled out or what?

either way im too poor to even have it pulled out:(

Mine started moving a little in high school. By the time I was in college, a couple had broken through the gums. They hurt a little, but luckily I had enough room for them (but not enough for them to come all the way through). And even though the uppers hadn't broken through, I had them all removed.

It sucked. :(

My wisdom teeth didn't pop up until late in the 20's so yeah, it's normal

Yup, I'm 21, and I have 2 wisdom teeth threatening to come through either side of my top gums. That said, they've been threatening this for about four or five years, and never actually come through. Every now and then my gum gets a little sore, but nothing too bad.

I'm 18 and mine are starting to come through already

I only have two in so far, and I definitely have to get mine surgically removed. My mouth isn't big enough for them, so if I let them all grow in they'll make my teeth crooked. I wouldn't want them anyways though, wisdom teeth are quite pointless and hard to brush.

I'm a mutant who only got 3 wisdom teeth. The surgeon wasn't gentle. The pain meds made me nauseous. But it only sucked for the first 2 to 3 days.

i just came back from the mirror and it seems the wisdomteeth thats already there have made my second molar crooked.:(

I had all four pulled. The pain was horrible the first two days. I don't think I slept at all.

On the plus side, no one can see your back teeth.

Yeah, I had my wisdom teeth pulled when I was 22, I think. That sucked. A lot.

Not me, my Doctor was so good at it I didn't need pain meds and was back to work on that day

i had my wisdom teeth pulled when i was 11th grade, the pain i went through was unbearable:(

I had my stupid teeth come in at 21 :csad:

My wisdom teeth were yanked out maybe two weeks ago, but they gassed me with nitrous oxide and then knocked me out. Woke up an hour later, although by my perception of time it felt like two minutes, and I didn't have much pain at all afterwards. Just a slightly irritating pulse of uncomfortablness around the area where the holes in my gums were but it went away five minutes after I popped some painkillers. Wasn't as bad as I thought it'd be.

So was Clerk's?

Before I had mine taken out i had these little flaps of gum/skin over them. The Dentist said that if i didnt get those flaps taken off and my teeth removed that the little skin things would eventually swell up really nasty.

I yanked my flaps off with my fingers haha

Had all four pulled at the same time (the uppers didn't need them, but there was no way I was going to go through it a second time). I did wait too long because one of the teeth had pushed against my molar and cracked it giving me my only cavity (****ing wisdom tooth!).

If you get a good doctor, and good pain killers, it shouldn't be a problem. My doctor sucked (I got an infection) and it turns out I was allergic to the painkillers. :(

Yeah, it was a bad two weeks.

I'm 19 and I think I have all four of them already

two of them came a little bit crooked...

and why do people take their wisdom teeth?

EDIT: BLAH! This is Corinthian forgetting how to log out properly:cmad:
