Hmmm.. didnt realise there was so much money in it, I should open my own practise :)

The guy apparantly went to school for 12 years more than necessary so a lot of it is probably going towards paying off student loans.

Regardless, that's a lot of money to score pain pills. Just go get hit by a bus. Sue the driver. Score. Free high on opiates in the hospital recovering.

Well I want to have them removed, whether or not it's absolutely necessary. I think they came in kinda awkwardly on the bottom. Though it's going to suck after I finally go in, they get removed, and I'm sipping soup for two weeks. :csad: And then braces or a retainer or something too.

Honestly, I miss having wisdom teeth, I had to have them removed because one was growing in wrong and the dentist was like, "I AM CRAZY! F**K IT! CUT 'EM UP!!!". But hay, if you wanna put yourself through possible swelling and all other possible complications go ahead, lol.

As long as the dentist isn't crazy like yours, I think I'll be okay.

I don't know if I'm going to have my wisdom teeth removed, but I hope so 'cause the pain killers sound awesome, hahah.

Yeah, they're the greatest

Ok, so now what's annoying me even more so than the fact that my gums hurt is my jaw won't open properly. :cmad:

I don't know what kind of oral surgeons you guys go to, but I didn't even need to take the painkillers after it was done. It hurt like hell while it was being done, but I was pretty much fine afterwards, apart from the whole mouthwash thing, which sucked.

Here's my story..sad but true:

They knocked me out to take all of mine out, and like Mister J I'm paranoid about my teeth so they gave me a syringe to clean out the cavities from the tooh-removal. I went home..took the painkillers and threw up. Waited a few more hours took the prescribed amount again...and threw up..I went the whole recovery time knocked-up on Tylenol because I was allergic to the pain-killers.

Also...it's suggested that each day, no matter what the pain open your mouth as wide as you can at least three times..that way your jaw will heal without locking up or being sore.

Mine was the opposite, I was oblivious while the surgery was being done. They knocked me out quite nicely, I can't even remember walking to the recovery room.

:wow:

You got a recovery room? :wow:

I was lead to the Nurses lunch room and put on the sofa! Then my Mother came and smuggled me out the backdoor into the alley.

I had mine out in October and I'm still getting food stuck in the gum holes. It sucks!

I like the syringe they give you, it looks trippy, lol.

I had teeth out nearly four years ago and I still get stuff stuck sometimes. Eventually my wisdoms should push the other teeth into the gap, but until then I have to deal with getting stuff stuck.

Also..when you're done using it..makes a great little modified water squirt gun...

Mine was very lackluster :(

Did you have someone with you, Pickles? My doctor required someone to be there the whole time.

Be careful to keep it washed out. I know several people who got bad infections from the gums growing over food particles months after surgery.:csad:

Salt water and the little syringe.

I think people forget about it after several months, but there's still enough of a cavity for food to hide in. You have to be really vigilant about it, especially if any of the teeth left deep holes.
