I watch The Young and the Restless Now

My parents used to work at CBS, and during lunch break everyone would watch soap operas.

Weird.

When they did your knee surgery they accidently removed your balls.:(
They probably made a fine meal for a crow at some landfill.:(

I'm sorry you must have me mistaken for what you gladly did for Muscles.

When I have sick days or I just take a day off, I watch Passions. If you've seen it, you know why the Sci-Fi Channel plans to run it. Basically Dark Shadows for the weirdo set.

Did you mean I sliced off muscles' balls or that he devoured me at a landfill?

That's like the most crappiest soap ever. You guys should watch ABC soaps. General Hopsital

It's not even a real soap to me. It's real tongue in cheek and campy with the whole occult/demon/witches thing.

*chuckle* If you are gonna watch a soap, watch wrestling. It has more action.

Passions is....entertaining if you watch it with the right mindset. But the a-hole writer also worked for Days of Lives for the past decade and basically ruined what used to be a decent show. I don't think there's a soap on tv I'd actually want to recommend anymore.

vacant? I once caught an episode while having lunch at home, holy jesus that thing burned off IQ points by the minute. there was this story about a maid being married to some millionare and trying to poison him while this "witch" (whaaaaa?) was doing some spells to keep some people (all the characters are impossibly interchangeable) apart.

I sat there, literally puzzled. is this supossed to be funny?

Same thing happened to me when I was stranded in the house with chicken pox during my mid teens. Started watching Y&R, General Hospital and Guiding Light and got hooked on all of'em for about a 3 year period. Victor Newman and Roger Thorpe = best villains ever. My friends thought I was crazy but then they ended up watching also lol.

Yeah, they had some sort of incest storyline, too. A brother and sister fell in love, got pregnant, then the sister became a nun to save her soul. I dunno. This is from the same guy that brought Satanic possessions to Days. He also killed off nearly the entire original cast, then decided they were all alive on an island controlled by an evil mastermind (the son of the show's 1980s mastermind) who had technology to wreak havoc on the planet's weather, which he'd use to obtain world domination. Completely mind-numbing drivel.

I know how you feel, my stupid sisters got me into watching "As The World Turns". Dammit.

Lol, hitman, Roger Thorpe IS the best villain! I suppose you watched back in the day when he was still played by Michael Zaslow? Pre-1998, I think. Awesome actor, what shame he died in such pain (ALS aka Lou Gehrig's disease). Guiding Light started sucking when they made Reva a pyschic and time travel and crap. I haven't watched it in years. The mob storyline sucked, too. My brother and his soccer team got hooked on Guidling Light back in the 70s/80s when they'd come over to hang out our house.

Are you people actually arguing about what soap operas are better than others?
