So I was heading home from work last night, CRAZY traffic, and my wife texts me saying "I'm in labor, come to the hospital".

IN THIS TRAFFIC? No! So I texted her "Nah, I'm just going home, catch me when you can". A few hours later she texted me back, saying that our marriage was over and that she wanted me out of the house when she got back, and I'm just like...?

Am I right, guys? Am I right?

Totally reasonable Sawyer...
Waiting until the traffic calms down before heading over to the hospital?
A1 plan :woot:

Likely not your baby anyway; you've actually had to have sex with that woman first.

I proposed to my live in girlfriend, she didn't like that my proposal was to change the future and save her life, and moved back to her parents house.

If she can't appreciate the little things, she doesn't deserve an honorable gent like yourself.

She probably didn't want to get tied to a series of increasingly bad movies.

As my pal Maury Povich has been known to say......"I don't give a **** if the bastard is yours or not....I get to go home to Connie Chung every night."

That Maury......he's a card.

I'm guessing that her father wasn't too happy that you didn't ask his permission first.

You told her you were going home; it was her decision not to wait to have the baby. I don't understand why she is mad at you for her choice. I hope you made her and the baby walk home.

Read the "Weird end to a friendship" thread and all will be revealed

You mean something very similar happened to someone else......how strange.

You should never have put a ring on it to begin with. :o

Not married, exactly, but I drove my boyfriend to the hospital in the middle of the night because his grandmother was deathly ill, and then after going through all that, he expected me to spend the night there with him. After fending off his attempts to rest his snotty face against my shoulder (I was wearing Tommy Hilfiger, ffs), I announced I was going home to bed and he could stay or go.

He looked at me like I'd just slapped him in the face or something (which I hadn't done since that morning, when he tried to kiss me while I was clearly intently watching Parts Unknown with Anthony Bourdain and was not to be disturbed) and said "fine, go ahead and go".

I shrugged, having been expressly told it was fine, and then went home and went to bed. When I texted him in the late afternoon the next day after finishing my Parts Unknown DVR marathon, I was told we were over.

Mixed signals, much??

Anyone who says women are the ones who play mind games never met my ex, obviously.
