If he becomes a bad guy, he is the 4th villain. It says it at the begining of the teaser, Raimi said it would cause mass hysteria. the 4th villian is Spider-man. If you guys don't think it makes mass hysteria, non-comic readers will for sure. Just a note, we aren't the only viewers of these movies.

yes but we are the only ones who find out all this stuff about the movie ahead of time. most people have no idea what will happen in spider-man 3. how will all hell break loose around comic con time, for people that don't read comic books? it will only break loose in our little circles, because most people have lives, and they didn't read Q&A and all see all the set pics. And besides prior to that interview Avi already said Spidey was a bad guy. Then 2 months later he does an interview saying their is a fourth villain who will be revealed around comic con time.
