As for how it should look? I'd love to see them update it to more than just one large mansion. Have 3-4 different buildings, all interconnected by the underground lair.

don't know about the look, but I've liked the weird stuff they've added to it in the comics recently (the flying machines and whatnot).

One thing that hasn't happened in 15 years but it happens constantly in the comics is the destruction of the X-Mansion. I'd love to see some larger Sentinels bring it down someday. Not that I'm against the mutants or anything, but we like to see them suffer on screen a bit, right?

And yes, I would love to see both Asteroid M and Genosha someday.
