If Amalgam Continued...

Thinking about this recently, thought I'd ask the fans around here to see their thoughts. If the Amalgam universe had continued in some way or form, what series would you have liked to see move on from their #1 "debuts?" And which ones could you ever do without again?

My various ideas including Booster Gold + Bucky Captain America.
and Booster + Cable.
Batman + Spider-Man, Powergirl + She-Hulk, and Doom Patrol's Cheif + Dr. Doom.
These are some ideas I would have liked to see.

Not really. I didn't buy any of the Amalgam books. The previous Marvel vs DC mini bored the hell out of me. It was way too campy. There was too much of "Batman/Spider-Man/whoever, you seem like a noble fellow, it's a shame we must battle now for some ******ed intergalactic battle that threatens our two worlds".

Stuff like that makes me want to.

That's why I don't read the Sunday Spider-Man cartoon......

All I ever read as a kid was Spider-Boy, which I frickin loved! We'll never see the character again though, because the world just sucks that way.

I would've loved to see more:

-bullets and bracelets
-x patrol
-jlx
-and whatever that storm/Wonder woman crossover was called


And I'm sure there's more i'm forgetting. They had a lot of great stuff in Amalgam.

Yeah, I don't like how those kind of scenarios read at all. It feels a lot more natural and less forced if it's presented as a shared universe.

At the time, I thought Dark Claw was awesome, and I really liked Spider-Boy.

My favorite book was Assasins w/ Dare the Terminator (Slade Murdock-Slade & Daredevil) & Catsai (Elektra Kyle-Catwoman & Elektra) going up against the Big Question (Edward Nigma Fisk-Riddler & Kingpin). Now that was an awesome book with Scott McDaniel on pencils man!! I'm pulling my Amalgam out today and reread them!

I never read any of the Amalgam comics, but if they mixed Wolverine and Batman into Dark Claw, then I would love to see a mix between Cassandra Cain and X-23. That would be awesome.

I think if they redo Amalgam, they should combine Iron Man and Batman together and call him the Iron Bat.
