- a soundtrack emphasizing on violins,
- a retro-futuristic art direction,
- Toni Collette,
- a nude scene,
- minimalistic action,
- good sound editing,
- a shocking ending.

I am actually planning to becoma a director.

And I have several ideas for my several movies.

However, I do have one constant rule:

USE CGI ONLY WHEN YOU HAVE NO OTHER CHOICE.

I hate movies that use CGI whenanimatronics or make-up could have acchieved the same thing (like the Star Wars prequels, Garfield, King Kong...)

I will only use CGI when the creature cannot be possibly created by any other means.

That's ******ed, CGI is a handy-tool when it's used properly, both extremes are dumb. Also as for "What would be in your movie" is ridiculous because trademarks and things come over time when you discover your style and more often than not you'll be surprised what you find... Just my two cents...

I'm not a big fan of Aliasman(No Offense, you made too many ridiculous poll threads for my liking) , hell my post was very argumentative, but I just don't like people being put down for there dreams is all.

Nor do I, if they show actual potential or seem to know what they're doing. You do. aliasman doesn't.

I kind of agree actually  Hell I hate people who act like they know it all and tehre going change hollywood by complaining, but I have a soft spot for putting down one's dream, it's just one of those soft spots I have I suppose. I think that was the first time I've ever actually brought up I want to become a director in this forum, people really shouldn't talk about it, they should just **** or get off the pot.

So back to what we would include in our movies.

I have a story in mind that was inspired by Sin City, Oliver Twist, Ladn of the Dead, The Bachelor(the reality show), Resident Evil 2(the game), The Ring, Batman, Kill Bill movies, Who Killed Roger Rabbit, and lots more.

What would be included in my movie

sword fighting
computer hacking
Bisexual strip club
nude scenes
car chases
skyscrapers
spies
gangs
corrrupt government
psycho's
conspiracies
power outage
meaningfull deaths
and again lots more.

And I have a dream cast I'll post later.

I'm actually planning on becoming a screenwrtier or a casting director, but if I was a director, these would be musts in my movies:

- A lot of innovative tracking shots
- A soundtrack consisting entirely of my favortie artists
- Scarlett Johansson naked
- Jack Nicholson
- A large ensemble supporting cast
- A solid mix of humor and action (comedy and thriller are my two favorite genres)
- Sex
- Violence
- A Happy Ending

Oh man, I accidentally read that as Jack Nicholson naked. Freaked me right out.

For me:

Strong structure
Interesting ideas
A character named "Saliva Q. Shoemaker"
A devastatingly sad ending that makes you cry and stuff

I think seeing Jack's ass in Something's Gotta Give is enough for most filmgoers. :)

a five minute scene with NO cuts.
a realistic, awkward sex scene between two characters who actually care about each other.
a take on life as a teenager that doesn't cop out

God, I have wanted something like that forever.

I may have to make my own movie just to see that ever happen in a movie:down

About the scene with no cuts, Hitchcock has one movie with absolutely no cuts, except the ones when the film had to be reloaded.

It must have been HELL to shoot.

You add Ron Perlman and you got yourself a great movie with no profit.

Rope.
It was shot on a single set, aside from the opening establishing shot street scene. Each shot ran continuously for up to ten minutes without interruption. Camera moves were planned in advance and there was almost no editing.

"Hitchcock filmed each scene in segments lasting up to ten minutes (the length of a reel of film at the time), each segment continuously panning from character to character in real time. Several segments end by panning against or zooming into an object (a man's jacket, or the back of a piece of furniture, for example) or by having an actor move in front of the camera, blocking the entire screen; each scene after that starts a static shot of that same object. In this way Hitchcock effectively masked some (but not all) of the cuts in the film."
