If the PS3 loses MGS4 and FF13, is it the final nail?

I would fall right into that category of gamers, people always say that I'm crazy for being a PS3 owner and for not wanting a 360, but it just doesn't appeal to me. Personally, I think Halo is overated and there is nothing that can tempt me to go to M$ side of things... I have never been impressed by the 360 enough to even consider buying one

Ditto. Im the same way. There is simply nothing the 360 has to offer that appeals to me that I cant get out of the PS3.

I think its safe to say that if MGS4 comes to the 360, it would be one of best selling titles of that year!

Metal Gear Solid 4 will have the same amount of sales (possibly even more) than Metal Gear Solid 3 even if it remains as a Playstation 3 exclusive.

They did with MGS2 and most people b--ched about it. This is supposedly the last MGS game so there will most likely be a new character to take up the mantle. Snake looks like he's going to die in this one anyway

Actually, the crux of the problem was not the new character himself, but rather the fact that the new character sucked HORRIBLY. I mean, ok, you're playing with the badass legendary soldier, Solid Snake in the first few levels, and then SUDDENLY, you realize you're stuck with an effeminate rookie who sounds like a gimp and whose crotch is getting grabbed by horny US Presidents who aren't sure whether it is a guy or a gal, and then having to sprout through the cold halls of Arsenal Gear BUCK NAKED...well, what else did you expect from the gaming masses?

That's what MS wants Konami to think, and there's probably a grain of truth to it. But keep in mind, Gears of War could have sold better if it was on PS3 and PC and not just Xbox 360, but Epic made it Xbox 360 only anyway. Sales aren't the bottom line when it comes to exclusives, or exclusives would not exist. They're called exclusives because you are excluding part of the market from being able to play it, which by nature means that you are going for a smaller demographic.

If GOW had come to the PS3, that would've been sweet. The only other games I want on 360 are Condemned, Mass Effect(not positive on that one), and Bioshock, which Sony will probably get next year. And wih exclusives you can focus without worying about having to balance the different versions.

i dont think bioshock is coming to ps3. It's not a system seller anyway. Good game, nonetheless though.

I'm holding out hope that it'll eventually come to PS3. It had been previously announced for PS3 in a European magazine, but then the statements were mysteriously retracted by the developer (read: MS said "WTF are you doing violating our time exclusive contract!?"), so now the PS3 version officially does not exist. Maybe it really did get canceled, but I have some hope left in me.

Condemned 2 will be on PS3, Mass Effect wont (and will be GOTY, just see), and Bioshock honestly could go either way. I think it would be hilarious if all of the sony fanboys cry to get Bioshock, and all of the Microsoft fanboys cry to get MGS4

Well Take 2 said in their most recent address to shareholders that they were looking to bring the game to other platforms, and I doubt the Wii could handle it without a significant rework.

Besides Macs have Bootcamp anyway. That probably makes a developer less interested in releasing a mac version for a small audience when most of them are savvy enough to just boot into windows anyway.
