Are any of you actually getting a PS3?

dude these are just some games i wana get, in my opinion there good, i wana buy them cuz i want to, you cant change my mind on what games I think are good

besides that, i already put up a list of exclusivs its on the first post i made

1. How does Afrika look good in your opinion? You don't know what it's about. I don't know what it's about. Nobody knows what it's about. Lemme guess why it looks good to you, it's on the Playstation 3. Is that your only reason to be excited for it.

2. Full Auto sucked. Full Auto 2 is going to be the same old crap. Lemme guess why you're excited for this game, because it's on the Playstation 3.

3. Something that hasn't come out yet can't be the best game of its genre. It has the potential to, but it can't until its out and played.

Well we DO know what Afrika is 'about'. Phill Harrison said as much, though it's a far cry from a demonstration.

Then what is it about it?

Only game I would want is DMC4 and I can't justify buying a 500 dollor system for one game( even though DMC4 is going to be awesome).

It's basically an wildlife simulator where you're going to be able to experience it through many different species and points of view. Not sure how 'zen' or difused or focused it's going to be, but it's basically implied that it' going to an 'experience' game.

When asked what Afrika is really all about, Harrison immediately answers, "Africa allows you to experience a very interesting part of the world, a safari in the plains of Africa. The gameplay is entirely non-violent. You don't kill the animals. It emphasizes the positives rather than the negatives."

Also, if you happen to have watched Afrika's trailer, you might be wondering what's up with the guy riding a jeep at the end? Harrison divulges that it would be "one of the people gamers will control" but stopped himself from saying anymore. "It's about collecting experiences and keeping them for posterity," he added.

I wanted to kill the animals.

****ers.

I'll still buy it though.

I'm not sure how you can make a wildlife game without the violence of nature. Maybe he means you won't be a safari hunter dude, but I'd expect you to be able to hunt if you're a predator and stuff.

I hope so. I want to impale something with a rhino horn. I can't be the only one, right? :csad:

well all i know is you play as that guy in the jeep, some people think that hes a wild life preserver, filming a documantary about animal habits and such.

some also think your givin the task of opening a preserve and you have to capture the animals and bring them to the preserve so poachers cant get them.

and some think you switch from human to animal and see what its like in the eyes of varius animals. catching deer as a lion would be insane, run after them and pounce

I can't believe how stupid you are.

Afrika looks amazingly stupid... Sony can't even spell the name right!

"Hello, I'm wildlife activist. Let's go explore Africa, and look at the pretty animals all about!"

Lame! :down

You, um, can't just name a game 'Africa' and get away with it. :o

Jumping to self serving conclusions ftl... again. Sony haters need to learn how to look before they leap, they'd have a lot less embarassing incidents to sweep under the rug... ;)

whay am i stupid?

and they know how to spell africa, they just chose to name it wth a K instead of a C

Africa isn't copyrighted

"Afrika" is the way many groups spell it.

Naming your game Africa opens you up to all sorts of potential legal issues. Didn't a company run into trouble a few years back for using Australia?

What potential legal issues are there over a game named Africa, that focuses on animals?

Some day, perhaps. But not anytime soon.

Nah I have my 360 and next year, a dorm room filled with the joy of Halo 3.
