what would they be? if they weren't heroes, if clark hadn't been send from krypton, but been an actual human, or if bruce wayne would be the playboy he pretends to be for real, and so on...everything is possible, only they are not heroes, have fun:)

Clark would have still been a reporter, but he wouldn't be goofy Clark Kent because there would be no need for him. He and Lois would still get married, but it would not take them as long as it originally did.
Bruce probably wouldn't be a playboy(well, maybe a little bit :) )
His company would probably be bigger than anything ever, because he could focus more on it.
This is considering that none of the villians exist either.

Clark really isn't that goofy. He's a little old fasioned and corny, but he's a very serious and talanted journolist. Probably would still be without being Superman.

bruce would have an assembly line of women coming in and out of his room.

They'd all be dead.

After all, who would be around to stop the supervillains from destroying the world?

Clark might've just taken over the Kent farm. If he didn't have his powers he might not have felt an urge to go out and see the world (where his journalistic instincts also grew from) and put those abilities to good use, and instead, just be content with working on the farm.

After a stint as a trapeze artist, Richard Grayson would end up being discovered and ascend to be the world's greatest runway male model!:o

If Clark was never sent to Earth, then how could Lois and he meet?
I would think if they weren't Heroes, then Kal-El would still be on Krypton most likely following in his father's shoes, to be a scientist. Probably betrothed to someone in close ties with the El-family. And have a close and advanced family.

(a couple of possiblilities for Bruce)
If Bruce's parents lived and only died through natural age process, I take it Bruce would be running Wayne Enterprises?/Corp?/Inc./Ind.-Whatever applies so much that he would be responsible for many hostile takeovers extending outside of Gotham all throughout America. He would be corruptable, and well into the political arena...providing support to whoever is fully connected in other fields.
# 2- Or
Bruce Wayne (failing to become a doctor) becomes more business minded and builds more hospital and other notable cause worthy establishments to keep those less fortunate them his family safe at nights. ACtively participating in the feeding and education of orphans by hiring and gathering the proper needs and sources to properly educate the "sons and daughters" of Gotham City.
Marries often ends up in either annulments and divorces....but is known throughout Gotham City as the Kind Prince of Gotham.

Wonder (Diana) Woman-
notable princess of her Themiscaria(sorry misspld) learns to be a good queen from her mother....average fighter....but teaches all her sisters about the wonders of books and literature rather then the ways of violence.

Flash (all of them)
continues to be scientists in their respected fields...(Barry and Jay)
Wally West becomes closer to Iris who (yes this still happens) marries Barry. Wally and Barry are not as close, but Wally wishes he had more time with Iris to keep his head straight when it comes to his arguing parents.

Hal Jordan--
still a player.....maybe a couple a kids throughout his route of women here and there...somewhat of a vegabond....almost nomadic, doesn't want to settle down, seeks adventure, but is frustrated that he can't get it most times. Still hates the mundane, and so becomes either a pilot for NASA or the leader of the Blue Angels.

Dick Grayson
one of the main attractions at not only Haly's circus, but at the request of other requests (B and Bailey) he is the highest acrobat in demand aside from the now retired Boston Brand and his father and mother who now own Haly's circus.

(whew.......fingers starting to give me a hard time typing)

Tim Drake
still in bording school till he graduates in Archeology.....and travels with his parents. Becomes the highest ranked authority on symbology; single..... but many women would find him attractive.

Jason Todd
making his way through the underworld as a goon for whoever recruits him, till he is caught several times by the police. Takes part in the D.A.'s deal in being one of the many recruits the Kind Prince of Gotham's people take to better educate the youths of the streets and at the end of his term when he is already in his early 20s, he takes on the role of the recruiters to continue to help the youth of the city. Never meets Bruce except in tv or news photos.

lol
i allways thought bruce'd be a millionaire playboy...maybe even dragging wayne enterprises to the ground, and alfred hating him. i also picture clark being a farmer and never even getting to know lois.
btw i also meant there are no villains either, so u can also imagine what they would be like.
i think the joker would be a happily maried man. raising his kid and working hard. maybe even admiring thomas wayne for doing such a great job to shape up gotham.

Arthur Curry - drowns.
Who says not being a hero = not having powers? Arthur was born with his abilities and, more likely than not, he'd just be devoting all his time to ruling Atlantis as king if he weren't a hero.

I agre with Corp....
How can Arthur drown if he was already born with his abilities. Maybe he'll be the first hero but more realistically he'd do what Corpulent1 says....devoting all his time to ruling Atlantis.

but what if arthur didn't have his powers?

If you're interested in this sort of thing, there's a five-issue series from Marvel Comics called Powerless, and it tells the story of Spider-Man, Daredevil and Wolverine without their powers. You find out that all of them continue to lead very similar lives to their super-powered counterparts. Peter Parker still fights Norman Osborn's unethical scientific practices by exposing him to the Daily Bugle, Matt Murdock puts the Kingpin behind bars and cleans up a good majority of the drug traffic in Hell's Kitchen, and Logan is still the same tortured man, haunted by an abusive childhood.

oh, i didn't know that, but thx, i'll make sure to look them up

If Marvel wants to run the same formula with the same characters (Parker vs Norman....and Murdock vs Fisk) then that's all well and good for that universe. That just shows their limitations. Wouldn't it be better for them to face other types of struggles, other challenges aside from the ones that we already know? Other ways how they can grow since they don't have any super-abilities? Of course we'd want them to be exciting, innovative and make their own mistakes, to show that their human.....but come on....
How many people live in New York? Can't the writers introduce other characters for the main characters to face against? How about mis-matching them (Parker vs. Reed Richards for the same scientific job since their both scientific minded---Parker's genius (I would think would be almost to the level of Reed's caliber since both of them has a lot of free time now being powerless and all) , have Sue start flirting with Peter while Gwen deals with her boyfriend Peter is being wooed by the wife of Tony Stark/Victor Von Doom) Think OUTSIDE the box, not limit your mind to the same formula.
but that's just one readers opinion....

Dude, it was just a miniseries. For what it was, it was a good read. The whole point was that we were seeing a world through the eyes of a man who knew what the real Marvel Universe should be like, but he's now seeing a world that's exactly the same way, only without superpowers.

i think i'd be fun if we saw them without superpowers and leading a normal life, struggling thru life like an average joe

Er.. Clark Kent would be a reporter, Wally west would be a mechanic, John Stewart would be an architect, Kyle Rayner would be an artist, Ted Grant would be a boxer, John Jones would be a detective, Slade Wilson would be a drill instructor, Victor Stone would be an Olympic athlete, Roy Harper would be a government operative, Dick Grayson would be a policeman, Garfield Logan would be an actor... It's not really that hard to figure this stuff out.

In keepeing with the Powerless thing, Metron would be a psychiatrist.

okay....but why bother having the miniseries at all if it's just going to be a repeat of the same thing, (although without super-powers)???

To show that powers don't make the hero.

Plus,

Bruce probably would have married socialite Selina Kyle and once his parents, Thomas and Martha lved a long an healthy life, and Thomas retired, Bruce would have taken over as head of Wayne Enterprise.
