How about The Planet of the Apes (original series) and Stargate?
Well before you rush to judgment , what if the U.S. team opens up the Stargate, to end up being in the Planet of the Apes. The apes,already familair with Taylor and his 'astronaut' stories believe the U.S. team is here to rescue Taylor & then invade their planet.

Fair enough. However the firearms of choice used by the Mexican/Spanish army in every depiction of Zorro that I have ever seen were flintlock pistols and muskets. The firearms of choice by the US army and law enforcement in every depiction of The Lone Ranger I’ve seen have always been lever action rifles and single action revolvers. Thus The Lone Ranger takes place much later in the 1800’s (probably 1880’s or 1890’s).

Therefore a crossover between The Lone Ranger and Zorro is possible, however Zorro would have to be a past his prime masked vigilante (think Batman in The Dark Knight Returns).

The Mask of Zorro with Antonio Banderas explicitly is set in the 1820s-1840s.

It’s evening in a suburban neighbourhood. All the curtains are closed, there’s no-one around. In one particular house, there’s two middle aged men sat alone on the sofa watching tv.

All of a sudden there is a rumbling and the house feels like it’s shaking. There’s a weird sound coming from the basement.

They get up and slowly venture down the basement stairs, the light works but it’s very dim. There’s normal basement junk including an old sofa and some electrical equipment left gathering dust.

The basement is filled with static and electrical sparks begin to surge along the basement floor… Suddenly a phone booth appears out of no-where.

The doors are thrown open and two more middle aged men step out… “We need your help.”

I always thought something that could be merged , and now seems even more possible with Disney acquiring Fox properties is Alien/Predator franchises possibly merging into Marvel to come across Thor, Guardians of the Galaxy, Capt. Marvel or maybe even use them to introduce them (Alien/Predator ) as the threat for the FF.
Sounds crazy as an idea, but can be workable in a way

I think now that the 'Skywalker' scenario looks closed in the Star Wars universe, possibly a new direction for Disney to go,now that they both own Marvel & Star Wars is the Guardians of the Galaxy & Thor travelling space to find the Fantastic 4 who explain they are on a mission to explore space when they discovered some mystical 'force' they got readings on. From there...possibilities are endless.
