i'm a girl. so i'm the exception :p

just because i haven't seen it yet, doesn't mean i'm not going to, i haven't made up my mind yet

but, i will be one of the first in line to see TMNT, so i hope that helps me regain some credibility

I hold both genders not seeing this film to be insufficient human beings. :o

Women get their due in this film, trust me. One of the biggest crowd-pleasing scenes in this film involves a woman.

And yeah, even though I'm totally way out of the demographic...I'll be there opening day for TMNT. :O

i was intially wary of seeing this because i thought it'd just be blood and gore and violence with no story or anything, but i've heard from a couple people that it's actually pretty good. i might go see it now that i've heard good things

Mod shouldn't Roeper's Review have been moved to the Critic Reviews topic not this one?

just like LOTR and sin city...great movies but over hyped....its ok it always happens when alot of ppl like a movie....and then there are always the ones hating on the movie

Just because it usually happens doesn't make it right.

When I watch movies, I give them fair enough judgement, only giving orgasmic reaction to something truly deserving. So it blows my mind why anyone else wouldn't do the same unless they were on the studio's payroll.

going to see it on IMAX again wednesday... the last movie I watched more than once in a theater was CHILDREN OF MEN, then before that it was X2 which i saw 6 times before it hit dvd!

this will be my third time to see 300 and mainly because the IMAX experience made this movie solid gold!

I don't understand where all these 'pornography' labels are coming from with some of you guys . This movie was very sparing on the nudity and sexuality for what it could have been. It was R Rated for crying out load, and i've seen way more explicit nudity, violence and full blown sex (minus penetration) in other movies with similar ratings.

It's like some of you are unnecessarily nitpicking. What did you expect to see?

It's a battle movie. Battles are violent, duh.

Men, back then were considered dominate. And woman were considered nothing more than sex objects, baby and home makers. That's how it was. So 'the chest pounding' testosterone of yester-years has it's place in the movie.

And lastly, the nudity. All we saw was a few nipple shots of the oracle being ravaged by that Leper, and Queen Gorgos breasts. Very limited nudity if i do say so.

I think no one on here watches Rome. I barely could enjoy this movie the first time i saw it cause i was walking out of the theater going "where was the penis? Everyone said it had male nudity... did i miss it? What the....huh? I know i read it... 'dudity' is what they called it, but there was one ass??? did they cut the scenes? add digital underwear???"

that is all i could think about for hours after I left the theater... yet some critiques can actually leave the theater saying "OMG that way way to much homosex for me!"

??? I loath my country

I just got back from seeing 300 and have to say that my expectations keep getting met and then some for these Non Marvel and DC movies become. Sin City, V for Vendetta, Road to Perdition, and now 300.

I wish Studios, Directors, etc. would take a point from these movies.

Beautiful, well acted, I love this movie. I think everyone involved did a stellar job.

It is sad... 300 just made Ghost Rider look worse than it actually was! Ghost Rider was HORRIBLE than 300 came right behind it and said "It didnt have to be!!"

Not if I beat you to it.

I loved this movie!!!!!!!!!!!! I don't give many standing oations. I just feel there being used to much(American Idol) I gave this one a standing ovation.

the IMAX experience made this movie solid gold!

It absolutely did, I cant stress enough to people that if you have the oppurtunity to see it IMAX do so, its truly amazing.
I loved the movie, every shot is a work of art. The action is fantastic, the slo-mo effect is used so well it makes the battles scenes IMO. The run scene of Leonidas weaving his way through the Persians hacking and slashing is awsome for the sheer sake of you can see what's going on. Unlike some movies who's idea of action is to shoot close so you only get the idea of whats happening, here we get to see it played out completely and its gorgeous. I wont say I didnt have any issues with it cause I did but the positives so out way the bad its ridiculous to even mention faults. In this day and age of regurgitated crap its truly refreshing to see a creative and exhilirating movie.

I have a question.

I can't remember, but did Leonidas ever say the line "Come and take them" in the movie?

It would have been like:

Xerxes: Drop/Surrender your weapons
Leonidas: Come and take them

I'm, just wondering because I didn't notice it when I saw it, and it is one of the most famous greek lines there is. It is actually the motto of the Greek Army today.

Yeah you gotta see it in IMAX. There's just so much detail you'll miss if you don't. You can see all the little dents and bumps that they even put on the WB shield to make it have the same feel as the Spartan shield. The 300 logo flickering in the lightning storm. Plus the sound is amazing too.

this movie is so un****ing believeable.. had me in awe

if i could describe this movie in one word , i'd say " epic " . that's literally how much i enjoyed the film. every thing about it was great. cinematography was very well done, action was excellent , the music was greatly used, and the dialogue was well written. to be honest , i haven't really read the 300 graphic novel , but i gotta say, what i saw from the movie was awesome.
