The Dark Knight IGN on Dent

bob.jpg

ooohhhh, I think that Bob would be a great choice.

I want to know what IGN defines as unconventional :(

Is an actor you would think would be "too big" unconventional?
Is an actor of another race unconventional?
Is an actor who is of huge or small frame unconventional?

why?his movies are good exept for the batman movies, and i can see matt as dent

Matt for Dent seems cool actually. My original choice was Pearce but I guess that's just wishful thinking by now.

i know who it is..............................................................

I would love to laugh and say that that's hilarious, but it could be true. All the "unconventional" actors have been mentioned, now making them coventional. Sandler has already tried to branch out to drama, and he is, strangely and surrealisticly enough, the most bankable actor in Hollywood.

I hate this. I wish they would announce it already. Don't see the point in keeping us waiting if the part has indeed been cast.

I can see Leo in the part. The guy can play both gentle and volatile, and it would add some interesting contrast to Dent with one side of his face being hideously grotesque and then the other being an angelic pretty-boy, although admittedly Leo is beginning to shed that look.

I got to admit i'm starting to hope the role goes to Leo, the guy is doing great work and i think would be almost perfect.

But i just dont know if Christian Bale would have a say cause of the whole American Pyscho thing:trans:

Yes, it's the same "Jackman sets it straight" report, but what caught my eye was the last paragraph:

While sources won't allow IGN Movies to name names, we have heard that several well-known actors are under consideration to play the man who would be Two-Face and, like Heath Ledger as The Joker, none of them are conventional choices.

First BOF reports that an unconventional actor is being sought after for Dent by Nolan, and now IGN is saying all the actors in consideration are unconventional. Hmm...I wonder who it could be?

I'm thinking DiCaprio after reading this.....I wouldn't complain if it was him.

Queen Latifah!

Hulk Hogan!

Chris Tucker!

Rachel Dratch!

Rosie O´Donnel!

Beyonce!

Masi Oka!

Well, these would be "unconventional" choices, wouldn´t be?

^ LOL.....I can see it now. Half of him would be "Hulkamania Hulk Hogan" and the other "nWo Hollywood Hogan".

would DiCaprio do a filck like this, hes not 90s Leo DiCapario anymore? Hes 2000s oscar Nominee Leo now. He seems to be on a new path in his career.

Everyone is not thinking this through fully. When you say a well-known actor who may be 'unconventional', we're not talking about black actors, or oscar level winners, such as Jamie Foxx or Leonardo DiCaprio. The fact is that most people in the lists I've seen are big actors who WOULD be conventional for this film, because they've done genre stuff before.

DiCaprio - Titanic, The Beach, The Aviator, The Departed (It's not THAT hard to see him play a comic-based character following these larger than life roles).[/i]

Jamie Foxx - Ray, Collateral, Miami Vice - Like DiCaprio, he's played roles which may him less conventional.

Damon - Bourne Series, Ocean's Series, The Departed - Far too many range of roles, and both critical and mainstream success make him fit the role.

There's 3 groups of actors that would be 'unconventional', and both would be VERY controversial to the fans:-

(1) The MOVIE STARS - Pitt (he's not conventional due to his name, not the roles he's played), Cruise (NO), Hanks (?), Smith (Hell, NO!), Gibson (too old), Washington (maybe...)

(2) The Well known/non dramatics - COMEDIANS - Will Ferrell (face it, NO-ONE could see him in the role), Stiller or Wilson (F@!K NO!!!), Vaughn (???), Paul Giametti (VERY unconventional, but a bloody good actor), Carrell (Nah...), Lawrence (NOOOO!!!!!).

(3) Non-actor Actors, fan-driven - FACTOR X - Bowie (?), Serkis (hmm...), Ice Cube, Eminem (No, sorry...).

I'm REALLY hoping it's somebody that's been mentioned by any sites so far. I say to everyone to think OUTSIDE the box.

:woot:

I'd have no problem at all with Jamie Foxx. He went from meek to threatening when he had to in Collateral. He could pull it off.

BUT...he's touring next year. Hard to see where TDK would fit in.

Denzel, dammit!

With only half his face having that "Just for Men" dyed black beard on his face, that would make a interesting visual.
