The Dark Knight The Dark Knight: The Game

Hm...use the analog buttons to switch fighting style/technique on the fly? That would be badass me thinks...

I like the idea of a free-roaming Batman game. It would also be interesting to see a few extra villains who don't appear in the film make an appearance in the game, especially ones that wouldn't appear in Nolan's franchise because of their "non-realistic" qualities.

yes that would be very nice.

I'd love to see some villains. Even more than that though, I'd love some crimes like the Spider-Man games, except handled better. For example I'd love to have to stop a bank robbery by entering through the roof and taking out thugs from above, scaring the crap out of them. And then when one is left you jump down and hand to hand combat him. I'd love to see crimes, maybe a woman getting mugged in a back alley and you swoop down from the rooftops to save her. I'd love to see crimes like this in the game, however, they shouldn't have an indicator like the Spider-Man games. They should just be happening out of the blue. Like you're patrolling on rooftops and you hear a mugging. Nothing comes up telling you to press a button or anything, you can just go and stop it......if you want. :cwink:

This is what needs to be done for TDK video game:

The Batman Begins game was interesting somewhat. However, it became much too repetive, with the fact that nearly every level required you to climb some elaborate set of poles or pipes in order to accomplish your mission. And while the stealth was interesting, it often became tedious. Aside from that, the Batmobile missions felt like they were part of a completely different Batman game, and they were too short. The best aspect was the whole fear thing.

In TDK game, you are Bruce Wayne/Batman, and you can roam freely around Gotham, similar to the Spider-man games. However, they need to make this the ultimate detective game. Have Batman following leads at night, and stopping random crimes in between whenever nothing is going on. He can roam the rooftops or streets but can also command the Tumbler to come and he can take it out for a spin around Gotham. Have Batman travel back the Wayne Manor and the Batcave to anazlyze data he gathered while following up on a lead. Keep the fear aspect of the game, where for certain criminals/thugs you have to make them fear you to become vulnerable and all that good stuff, but you shouldn't have to use it every time you enter a new environment, because it becomes boring. The game can prompt you every once in a while when it's needed. Also, Batman should be able to use his arsenal of gadgets whenever he wants, not only when prompted.

The problem with the Begins game was that you always HAD to be following the story and the game's commands. You HAD to climb up this one pipe to get somewhere (and since when does every building/room have pipes or huge ventilation shafts). You HAD to make all your enemies fear you in each environment.

With TDK, there of course needs to be a central story frame of Batman, with the aid of Gordon and Dent, fighting the organized crime in the city and tracking down the mysterious new Joker character. But have a couple of subplots going on at the same times. Unlike the Spider-man games, make this free roam game more gritty and realistic. Just because it's free roam, that doesn't mean all the people on the streets have to say these random ass things, or there has to be these stupid gangs around the city.

I want a good game, with good graphics. Batman deserves it.

Some great ideas. If made properly, a Batman game could be an interesting, fresh take on video games that we haven't been given in a LONG time. I really want to have the detective aspect and "free" crime patrol unlike the Spidey games.

I don't even want a TDK game...Movie games never turn out good.

And I find it difficult to believe that they can put out a quality game in a year...They're gonna put together some B.S., And slap the Batman logo on it...

I really just want a GOOD Batman game...Period.

With an original storyline...Classic Batman, detective, mystery stuff w/ a twist at the end...

Somethin' similair to Hush with Hideo Kojima style presentation/cinematography...

In-depth gameplay and replay value...I'd like to see a game where you have to actually solve the case piece by piece, clue by clue...Interrogations...If you overlook a clue, Or botch an interrogation, It takes you on a different path...

Say for instance you hang a criminal from the roof a la Flass from Begins...But you accidentally kill the guy because you didn't release the button on time or something...And this has a dramatic effect on Batman's psyche...That'd be interesting.

There's also a game I'd like to see Batman modeled after...I think its called Assassin's Creed or something...Good stuff...Look it up.

Did you read the article attached at the start?

One of the best video game studios (Pandemic) have been working on "Project B" (The Dark Knight) for a long time now.

So take quality + time + Batman = fantastic.

Though I do agree- Assassin's Creed is the way they need to make a Batman game.

No I didn't read it ...Sorry about that.

Its just licensed games have a bad rep...I hope this game turns out great...

smh @ me not noticing stormin's suggestion of assassins creed on pg. 1

my forum etiquette is at an all time low...lol

At least we're all on the same page...

I'd like to see some MGS style cut scenes and boss battles...MGS's boss battles are always intense and they have me on the edge of my seat...

Anyone remember how you felt the first time you fought Ocelet, The Fear, and The End? Pretty incredible stuff...Imagine a Batman game with that same intensity when going up against Two Face, The Joker, etc...

I'd also like to see some original innovations and not just borrowed stuff from other games...

But can someone school me on pandemic? what have they done?

Dude, I nearly soiled myself at the end of each of those boss battles...especially after facing The Boss. But after finishing the game and hearing the theme play when you stick the second disc in...you can't help but cry. After goin' through all the crap you went through trying to beat the game, you feel satisfaction, relief, and honor....I salute all those who've beaten MGS3:SE (and Subsistence)!

I want to play as The Joker in the game. Make him an unlockable character that you can play as after you beat the game or something.

I like the idea of a free-roaming TDK game, but i hope the developer takes a little more time on Gotham City than EA did on Metropolis.

Anyone see Assassin's Creed mechanics? That is how Batman should be.

Basically free roaming Splinter Cell. You have all the moves of Sam Fisher, in an open world environment, with people that actually react to you. If you start climbing up a building, people start going "WTF?" and freaking out.

That is the perfect start for a perfect Batman game.

Since Pandemic is not making Assassins Creed, however, yet is still unbelievably bad ass, they will create a bad ass Batman game, which is, though not perfect, still badass.
Yup, although i'd like him to be much more stealthy and quick. It could be amazing though. I would just have fun exploring the city. They should make like 50 different crimes that are committed throughout the city, and you have to intervene. That would be woven inbetween plot of course. It should be like in Spiderman 2 though, not like SR, so it should be optional to help.

They've tried to make original Batman video games too. Dark Tomorrow was one....it blew quite hard.

They need to make one based on The Long Halloween and Dark Victory...I could dig that. Have the same sort of look as the novels do only switched into 3-d.
