I'LL TAKE THE FIRST 2 'SYPHON FILTER' GAMES......AND MAYBE EVEN THE NEW 'DARK MIRROR' FOR THE 'PSP'.....OVER THE ENTIRE 'MGS' FRANCHISE.

MUCH BETTER GAMEPLAY, IMO.....WITHOUT ALL THE FMV "FLUFF". NO OTHER GAME EVER MADE IT AS FUN TO SHOOT OUT LIGHTS, FOR STEALTH/RECON AND TAKE PEOPLE OUT WITH HEADSHOTS. MOST OF THE GUNFIGHTS IN THE 'MGS' GAMES FEELS MORE SCRIPTED.

MGS > Syphon Filter, but Syphon Filter is still really good. Of course it's only sort of a stealth game if you play it taht way, which is one of the more fun things about it. Of course you can play MGS3 as stealth or Rambo of death, and that's really fun either way.

ALLOW ME TO FILL YOU IN ON AN OTHERWISE WIDELY KNOWN FACT: I HATE THE 'MGS' FRANCHISE.

THAT BEING SAID, MY CONTENTION THAT 'SF' IS BETTER THAN 'MGS', IS MERELY AN OBJECTIVE OPINION, BASED ON GAMEPLAY COMPARISON. THERE WERE SOME PRETTY COOL, IF NOT ORIGINAL, ELEMENTS IN THE ORIGINAL 'SYPHON FILTER' THAT MANY GAMES HAVE TRIED, BUT FAILED, TO COPY/IMPROVE UPON. WHEN THE 'PSP' DROPS TO $100-$150, I'M PICKING IT UP, ALONG WITH 'SFARK MIRROR', BECAUSE IT REMINDS ME OF HOW COOL THE ORIGINAL WAS (FOR IT'S TIME).
