This game is awesome, I put in a good 4 hours when I got off work yesterday.

Uh, since when has God Hand been 'reviled'? I know it didn't get the best of receptions, but I thought it was generally considered good, especially if you were a fan of the genre. A rather bizarre little quip there.

Besides that, good review. Hearing what I hoped I would about the gameplay and such. Won't be able to get to this until the weekend, but am definitely anticipating starting this one up

God Hand ?!?!?!? that game was bizarre as all hell, it had some difficult parts as well. I'm suprised they never did make a next gen follow up to it. Anyways, I only have a few more hours of work and I'll be getting back on Vanquish.

I am having so much fun with this game. The story is meh, but the gameplay is awesome. Love trying to find those damn gold statues as well.

Finding the pagueless statues is outright ludicrous. There's no way you can find well over half of those things without a guide (I used a YT video). Though, yeah, I enjoyed this game even a little more than I was expecting too. Just so damn fun to play. It is kind of short, but I'm playing it DMC style, and going through on God Hard right now.

Also, wow, these challenges are a *****. I was thinking of trying to Platinum this, since I do like it so much, but I think that'll be what ultimately stop me.

right now the only thing in between me and a platinum are those challenges, they are mighty tough, I'm gonna see if playing the campaign in god hard mode helps too hone my skills for the challenges, I haven't cleared a single one yet

In my first play through I am trying to find as many statues as I can on my own with no help. My times are really high because of that. I have found 26 so far and just got to Act 4. How many statues are there?

I'm with you Tron. I am having a lot more fun than I expected.

There's 112 statues. 4 in each section of the mission acts

I finally cleared the first challenge, got up to the 4th wave in the 2nd one before dying seemingly out of the blue

I managed to get the fifth wave in the second one each time I've played it. Seems a little easier than the first one, honestly. Or maybe not easier, I've just got a good grip on playing both offensively and defensively

is there a boss fight at the end of each challenge?

No, don't think so. There isn't one on the fifth wave of the second one anyway, unless there's actually a sixth one.

Bought it, beat it, getting ready to sell it. This game was really short and the story definitely felt unfinished. I'm not even gonna try for those statues or God-hard mode, or whatever they are. It was very entertaining though and I hope this game gets a sequel.
