Sony. bleh.

I'd tend to agree with you. People have gotten hyped on the Vega line for no damn reason. And the color on my Samsung is incredible, for what it's worth.

Samsung, LG are not that great. The color is not good for some reason.

Get SONY.
the only sony one I found that match my price range was this:
Sony FD Trinitron WEGA 36" Flat-Tube Standard-Definition Digital TV
for 850.00 But than its too big. I like the Flat Panel where it doenst take too much room and I need to fit it in my living room ummmm i dont whats it called the TV stand i guess.

Besides, get a sony for a PS3 not a xbox 360.

Makes sure it has a HDMI or DVI port on the back and for god sakes go bigger than 30". At least hit the high 40's or 50's.

What was that about only buying things that use proper English in their names? WTF is a "WEGA", then, if I may ask? Way to buy into the hype, sucka!

It's a nice television. I would like to get one that size for our bedrooms, but it's not happening anytime soon. I had to throw a hissy fit at the wife to get my 55" HDTV.

WHAT "HYPE"? I BOUGHT IT A YEAR AND 1/2 AGO, WHEN THE 'WEGA' LINE HAD BEEN OUT FOR ALMOST 6 YEARS..........AND I ONLY GOT IT, BECAUSE IT WAS ON A ONE-DAY $800 DISCOUNT, WITH SPECIAL WARRANTY, AND OTHER INCENTIVES. I'M JUST A VERY, SMART, PRUDENT CONSUMER.

AND "WEGA" ISN'T EVEN A REAL WORD........THEY CAN SPELL IT HOWEVER THEY WANT. :p

i just bought an ipod today, what do you guys think?

My budget under 1000, and this looks like the best tv I can get for that price. What do you guys think, and if theres a better tv for that price by all means share it with me! :)

Its Samsung 30' Slimfit Flat Tube HDTV

If your budget is under 1000, go with the Olevia 37" LCD flat panel.

Check it out on Newegg: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16824022014

That's the one that's sitting in my living room. I bought it because I don't really spend a great deal of time in the living room watching TV. I usually watch movies on my HD projection system (with an 8 foot screen), but I still wanted something nice in the living room. The picture is absolutely beautiful and you can't beat the price for what you get.

Looks like you're going with a tube TV. Bad choice, imo. Get this thing for under 1k and you get not only a flat panel HD experience, but also 7" more screen.

It's HD, of course it does. Xbox 360 games look AMAZING on it, and so do DVDs.

Yea, but it takes too much space, kid.

He would have to reorganize his whole room, and who would want that?

To be honest, I much preferred the DLP picture for all purposes, DVD's and satellite broadcast included, to the plasma and LCD screens.

LCD and plasma are both useless in my opinion. I don't want to buy a 2-3000 dollar TV only to have to replace $500 bulbs on a regular basis. Not to mention both formats have their problems such as burn in and other things. I think DLP is the way to go as well. Sure, some people get color separation from DLP but it's so rare it's almost not worth mentioning.
