Is housing expensive? Are jobs plentiful? Do they pay good?
How developed are municipalities (libraries, cultural events, public transit)?
Are there a lot of foreigners?
Are the cities clean? Are they free of crime?

Anything else you wanna tell me about your state?

Md rocks but close to DC you'll pay out the ass for a nice house.
Too many people and traffic sucks.

Seattle is my favorite city.

Is housing expensive?
Very.
Are jobs plentiful?
Yeah.
Do they pay good?
Really good. The burger joint nearby starts you at $10 an hour.
BUT, it's just because it's so expensive to live here.

No one under 50 should ever say "municipalities". :down
Are there a lot of foreigners?
Yeah, a ton of Japanese and Ethiopian people and Bosnians who came here. Awesome.
Are the cities clean?
You can eat off of the pavement, almost never getting AIDS from it.
Are they free of crime?
Lots of stabbings and shootings, but you just stay inside and you're set.

Best weather in the universe. You can't get hot chicks unless you're really rich or really good-looking/talented.

In Utah, you can go out to main street, pull down your pants and fart, and 3 gorgeous, barely legal teenage girls will instantly appear trying to sniff it and hand you the keys to their car.

I don't know anything about the rest of the state of Washington, except that Olympia is just like Mr. Rogers' Neighborhood of Make Believe.

Whats my what like?

My cough?

Nice of you to ask,

i'm still spluttering, still coughing too much, i gotta put a new floor down and i cant do it at the moment, spluttering all over it, wheezing. Not to mention i got a cold too so that comes with a complimantary runny nose.

nice that you care.

Thanks

That is what you meant?

Right?

Has it got the plague?

thats never good.

the plague.

my mum thought she had the plague once, turned out it was just rabies, crisis avoided.

I'm from Minnesota. Housing is affordable, and jobs are plentiful. The arts & entertainment scene is very lively in the Twin Cities, and it's one of the most cultural & ethnically diverse places I've ever been. Outside the TC metro area, this trend reverses very quickly, though...with a few exceptions. The cities are very clean, and have relatively low crime, although Minneapolis has had some recurrent problems with gangs and violent crime.

Everyone complains about the harsh winters, but I really don't mind the weather too much. I will probably go back there to live, eventually, because the overall quality of life, and the quality of education is quite good.

I'm currently in North Carolina, and though there are certain things I like so far, I don't think it's a place where I'd like to stay for too long.

Ive only lived in 2 states: Georgia and California, and whatever you do, DO NOT MOVE TO GEORGIA.

avoid pennsylvania like the plague.

:csad: I've always had a calling to go to Minnesota, now you make me want to live there. :(

Oh and Philly should been burned to the ground or walls built around it so no one can get in or out. :down Ugh.

Come to Michigan, we're shutting down!

MICHIGAN:
-our economy blows.
-unemployment is high
-the real estate market is in the crapper
-the state government is about to shut down in 2 hours because they cant agree on a new budget plan.
-we have a killer music scene.

Depends. Most people on the east or west coast don't ever consider the flyover states because they ain't never been here. But I'd say a suburb of Illinois close to Chicago is pretty decent. Somewhat upper middle class and access to the nightlife and cultural ****. And yes, I know the irony in calling culture ****.

I would be afraid that Bam would punch me in the face if I walked down the street.

God i hate him.:o

He's the biggest ******* on the planet, as are the rest of the Jackass guys from West Chester that aren't Ryan Dunn.

Dunn always seemed alot more chill than the others, so I liked him.

GOD I HATE BAM.

Central New Jersey
Is housing expensive?
2 Bedroom, 2 bathroom home would probably run you around $250,000.

Are jobs plentiful?
Yes but even if you couldn't find work, you could live 30 minutes out of NYC or 30 minutes out of Philly.

Do they pay good?
Yes but the cost of living is higher too.

How developed are municipalities (libraries, cultural events, public transit)?
Trains and buses can take you mostly anywhere in NJ as well as NYC and Philly. NJ is a way to live in the burbs but be able to travel into the Cities to visit museums, etc.

Are there a lot of foreigners?
Depends where you are. Northern and Central Jersey are an eclectic mix and the further South you go, the more white it gets.

Are the cities clean? Are they free of crime?
NJ despite the "smell" has cleaned up a lot in the past 10 years. As for crime? Stay out of Camden.

Anything else you wanna tell me about your state?
As stated, a way of living in the burbs while still having a 20-30 minute train ride into the city. 45 minutes from the beach. 30-45 minute from Pennsylvania and probably the slopes.

Las Vegas

-houses are pretty affordable
-there are tons of jobs here. The Strip is always hiring and with the new condos going up there going to be looking to hire.
- Yeah, casinos jobs pay well.
-We have no art scene none. We have a wax muesuem in the venation....that's about it. Everything else is pretty underground.
-Foreigners? I hear a diffrent language everyday here.
- City is way clean, crime rate? Stay out of north las vegas.

- It gets very hot. VERY HOT.

What's the question about foreigners for?
You know how some Westerners just kinda, I dunno, "come to terms with" being homosexual?

I have come to terms with being immigrant-o-sexual. Green cards excite me.
