The thing is.. if he HADNT been expelled, we'd probably have the Banana Picker on here complaining that some guy on his internship program got drunk.. tried to beat him up.. and kept yelling racial abuse at him, and the college did nothing about it.

I know this is an old thread. But my friend, I would never use a racial slur in anger. I might make harmless jokes concerning race, but I would never, ever, EVER call someone a racist derogetory name, whether drunk or not.

That doesn't mean to say that I think he should be expelled, or the rest of his life should be effected. I don't think it does. I think the humiliation is punishment enough. I'm sure he realizes how stupid he was.

well, not only is that a stupid racist slur that shouldn't offend anybody, but it's stupid that he would get in trouble at all for it.

I don't see what right the college/university has to expel him if he wasn't on campus and wasn't in class when he said this. If you're in a pub / bar then you really aren't under campus authority. I could see him being expelled if he committed an actual crime (for assualt perhaps, since a fist fight ensued), but even then, until he is found guilty, I don't believe they have the right to expel him.

We had this guy come over who had slept with a girl who I had slept with. Anyways, long story short, she had told me that night this guy had a 4 inch penis. So during our Hunch Punch party when I was dead drunk I started calling him "inchy" all night and asking "How are those 4 inches" and "must be nice having a 4 inch wang" (all this on top of him being bald at 21...we also called him the Eagle), then we drew all over our past out friend Alex after he left...Not something I'd normally do, but I was drunk so...

I don't give a sh** about what he said. But getting cut from an internship program and potentially now from school for drunken disorderly conduct, fighting and racial comments for a person who was so close as he was just sucks. And there is nothing I can really do about it.
