Are there any comics that you think can't be adapted as a movie?
I'm not talking about CGI or a cartoon...

Black Panther

Practically begs for a lawsuit.

with today's technology, i think they all could be done..
it's just a matter of whether they should be done

everything with a big enough budget can be adapted...

what#s the point of this thread?

As far as I know, the only ones that can't be adapted would be films that contain characters whose rights are owned by various studios. I.E. Spider-Man can never have Kingpin in his movie beacuse Columbia owns the rights to Spider-Man and Fox owns the rights to Kingpin.

Even given the advances in technology, they could never do a live action answer to "Justice League: Unlimited"

But imagine that...a live action "DCU" film with EVERYONE fighting against Darkseid like the final episode of "JLU"

Or a "Marvel U" film with the same scenario and everyone fighting Galactus (the true one) or Thanos...

And also there are some comic book films that fall under the category of "Impossible Comic Book Movie Sequel"

Barb Wire 2? LXG 2?

never...

Which movie will never ever in a million years be made into a movie? I got the answer for you:

Squirrel Girl

Any producer that does it is either a genius or insane.

fatman the human flying saucer

Bluntman and Cronic lol

Just about anyone could be made. The real question is would they be any good?

None of them are impossible, improbable maybe, but by today's standards in films, none would be impossible.

I imagine The Maxx would be pretty difficult.

Sandman. Unless they made a series of 75 short films, it wouldn't translate well.

or made it about theGOLDEN AGE SANDMAN

Yeah, since his company folded, hopefully he'll end up giving his portion of the rights back (which might be near impossible since he ended up buying the properties from Eclipse after they folded). But hey, guess things seem a bit more promising than they did like 15 years ago. This is one of the few things that Alan Moore has done that I can see being transfered at least semi-decently to film. All the rest of his stuff probably wouldn't transfer that well even if the film makers would want to make the most faithful movie out of it they could.

However, it seems McFarlane (who can't use the Miracleman character anyway) will never give his rights up without someone paying him first. I can't see any individual person involved in this rights dispute paying McFarlane off from their own pocket. It would take a major studio or comic distributor (like DC or Marvel) to buy this and pateintly sort through the remaining issues (something McFarlane was never able to do).

A live action DBZ cannot be made into a credible movie. Al attempts at this are dommed to fail. People need to understand that, not all things can be adapted and made into a live action movie and DBZ is one of them.

Why is there no Archie movie?

Tom Green as Archie!

It's in the works, with Gaiman writing and directing...so, you=teh wrongzorz

Anyway, I think if they can pull of f**king Watchmen, they could do anything.
