Sequels In retrospect - I'm disgusted with the series.

Sandman wasn't really Uncle Ben's killer, TECHNICALLY. And Green Goblin hardly looked like a Power Ranger. And even if he did, so what? You got a problem with the Power Rangers? :D

I can't phantom why someone would like to see this in live action

I accept what we got. William Defoe's performance as Goblin should withstand any costume anyway.

Yea but why hide his face? WHY!?!?!!? Dafoe was brilliant, no doubt. But IMO it would of been 1000X better if we could see that Goblin like face of his.

The changes Sam makes is because it's his interpretation. Simple as that, and tbh, I completely respect that.

Yea i'm not saying his hasn't got the right to change things as he see fits. I'm saying one of the big flaws in many peoples eyes is what he changed and how he changed them. The first Spiderman was brilliant, the Green Goblin was a big part of that brilliance. But I still can't for the life of me see why he put him in that stupid suit. Why? Maybe the actual armour is needed, but why give him that stupid mask? Where did he even get it from anyway? I don't think the military would want that as a mask would they? Did he just fashion it in his spare time? Did it just appear out of no where? It's stupid. The same way as making Marko Bens killer was stupid.

That's ten times better than what we got and a little less ridiculous than the pure tights look.

Yea that looks pretty cool, it's still armour and what have you, but not with the stupid mask.

Jame Vanderbilt isn't writing the script anymore. David Lindsay-Abaire, who's a pulitzer prize winning writer has taken his place.
I thought David just came into it to give the script a polishing.
see? they don't tell anything to us.

Well, to each his own, bud. I mean, I really liked the Goblin's suit because things from comics don't always work well on film, you know what I mean? I think Nolan captured that with Batman, and Raimi captured it with Spider-Man. They understand the characters.

Burton's Batman was very good, but the overall extremely massive success didn't come until TDk or BB. However, '89 Batman is still popular. So, I'd say 2 or 3, but most likely 2 (Batman Forever and Batman & Robin.) Now, BB was the overall "right" route for Batman in people's minds, but like I said, some people still consider Burtons Batman the route Batman, so actually, I'm proven wrong a little here.

It's funny, people use to praise Sam. Now, they dislike him. It's just a cycle that will go on with every comic film franchise. It's annoying, but hey, what can I or anybody do about it? I can

First, I was just making fun of your spelling...second, I know this, BUT...'89 Batman will remain a classic, as well as Raimi's first Spider-Man movie...that's the movie everyone will remember, not 2, and def. not 3.

I will always enjoy the first movie, always have. And if Raimi brings The Shadow to the big-screen, I'll like him again.

And Batman Returns and Batman Forever aren't THAT terrible...Jim Carrey did make a great Riddler, and even though Two-Face was campy, Tommy Lee Jones always own the character he plays in every single film.

Oh yea no worries man, I haven't got a problem with your opinion. I just personally think it looks stupid. I can understand him having a battle suit thingy because it's originally military equipment. But then why would the military want a stupid Goblin mask for their soldier?

Ninja, this is the third thread you have started basically bowing at the feet of Nolan's Batman and bashing Raimi's Spider-Man. Do you have to make a new thread everytime you get pissed off at the SM series? Once was enough man. Vent your frustrations in existing threads before you make new ones for yourself. I don't feel this warranted a new thread, and hope it gets either merged or deleted out right.

Sam Raimi sucks.

That's an awesome picture.
Thanks. It really is, ain't it? That whole series was awesome then. I really shed a tear when PP was canceled. Way better than Amazing, IMHO.

How was Jenkins on Spectacular Spider-Man? I never read it. :csad: Is it as good as his junk on PP?

:whatever:

I can't respect how he changed Sandy and Venom.

What Nolan did(and not to be jumping on TDK bandwagon), but he only changed the villains to be in the realistic universe that Nolan was creating. Raimi made Doc Ock into a sympathetic when he wanted to "not die as a monster". Sandman kept saying "i'm not a bad person", and Venom...well Venom was just horrendous to watch(example: BANE).

There's a difference between tweaking the villains to fit more regularly into your movies and then re-vising the villains to make a point at the end of the movie. With this rate, all the villains will be dead or "turned", and Spidey's gonna be retiring in Spider-Man 5.

Psychological warfare...make them die of laughter.

I'm not surprised. You seemed like the type of guy to do that, no offense.

Well, I'm thinking that maybe Norman made it, you know? Maybe he made it after he took the serum. :yay:

I can't really say, I don't read Spidey comics :o

Oh, and yes, SMH12, it's obvious that Osborn made the mask.

Norman had a collection of exotic masks in his room.
maybe the goblin mask is one of those.

Plus the mask was never supposed to be used for a soldier, only the suit and glider.
