in which episode does clark fly for the first time?

believe whatever you want
there's a reason that they made him "fly" that way

Clark Kent flew!

I believe he flew on those occassions, I think futher down the line he's going to ralise that all those times he needed to make that extra inch it was him flying without knowing it.

Ker chow!

sorry, but when did he fly in Reckoning? Oh you mean this leap? That wasn't flying, I think ;)
In Metamorphosis, he was floating in a dream, in Crusade he was Kal-El, not Clark. And in Rosetta it was also a dream. So, so far Clark (!) never actually flew

How did he end up in the middle of Route 8 in Rosetta if he was just dreaming? He flew...

He floated for real too in Metamorphosis because he fell and broke his bed when he woke up, it wasn't just a dream...

As for Reckoning, it wasn't just a leap because he touched down softly at the top...

If it had just been a leap, he woulda more or less fallen at the top sorta like he leaped in Insurgence and Lucy... unlike the crash landings in both of those eps, his landing was controlled in Reckoning. Maybe not true "flight" but he can control how he lands. If he were just jumping I don't think that'd be the case.

You Wiki-phites need to calm down. You honestly think someone in production went in there and added that. It was just some fan who used their judgement, hardly the final verdict.

So are we calling the "Hidden" defiance of gravity as a jump or flight?

I think it's a super jump that could have turned into flight if need be, but he got to the dang missile too fast.

I don't think Clark fully grasps the ability of flight yet. But I do think that he's had several episodes where the physical ability has proven itself to be there already. We saw Kal-El fly, so we know the body has the potential. Clark stated that it was a scary thing, so he does remember it. I think he remembers more than he's let on.

I think that the Reckoning, and the Hidden jumps were both presented ambiguously on purpose. I'd classify them as Super Jumps with some degree of control.

Yeah, I don't think he can deliberately control it yet... that level of understanding of the abililty isn't his yet, but it was within the grasp when he was "Kal-El"...

Maybe that was one of the things Jor-El was going to train him on in the aborted training from Arrival... *shrug*

Well according to Dr. Margot Kidder (cant remember her name) he wont be really flying, until he embraces his Kryptonian Destiny.

i really enjoyed Season 4, but there were alot of plot holes (not as many as SR :)) i didnt understand the Kryptonian Destiny and was Kal-EL evil? When Clark and Kal-El were fighting each other at the end of Crusade, Kal said to Clark "you father (?) has made you weak" Someone explain please :)

Dr. Bridgette Crosby:up:

if Kal-El's destiny is to save humanity, why would he say to Clark (himself), it has made him weak? did the writers get caught in a hole they couldn't get out of?

I think there is more planed than that, that story isn't quite finished. It'll be interesting to see if it's really been Jor-El that Clarks been dealing with this whole time.:)

i guess even though jor-el knew clark was going to be raised as a human, he thought that when the time came clark would without a doubt come with him and take on his destiny...instead, clark fights it, and he blames humanity for weaking him and other things.

this is just a guess.

I have thought since the second season that it could be the Eradicator, which would make some of his actions make sense more. It's just one of my little theories, and probably totally off base.:O

either way its a very interesting thought

or Lionel is the real Jor-El and the Jor-EL Clark has been talking to since end of season 2 is really Zod?

this is what makes Smallville such a fun and interesting show. the writers and producers arent being held down by a 30 year old film. they can do whatever they want.

That was a rumor going around for a while, but I think that was kinda squashed last season with the introduction of Zod.
