The Dark Knight Indiana Jones more anticipated than TDK (?)

I grew up when the older Indiana Jones movies came out, but I never had enough interest to see any of them. They just don't appeal to me at all.

Plus, I think that TDK will have more success among younger moviegoers, since they've probably seen Batman Begins in their lifetime and have less likely seen an Indiana Jones movie.

Not surprised at all the Indy 4 is more anticipated, the Indy films are loved by many even with youngsters, I'm looking forward to it myself, I don't know why but it seems like for some reason some Batman fans consider Indy 4 as a threat.

Come on this says it all...

I've always liked Indy more, so I gotta say that poll doesn't suprise me at all. I'll still watch TDK though. It'll be a nice close to a great summer(hopefully,:cwink: ).

TDK > All.
I'm really anticipating Iron Man and Bond 22 (007) but nothing, literally nothing, compares to TDK.
Indy 4 should be interesting but it's just mindless fun and will never reach greatness of the first film and even if it does, it's still inferior to a real masterpiece like Batman Begins and hopefully it's sequel.

EDIT: Sorry for the double post.
Of course, what I said is just my opinion. For me, TDK > Indy 4 (And all other future releases).

This says greedy old bastard who can't let go of his glory days.

There is no way in Hell that I'm wasting $7.65 to go see this worthless, long delayed crap.

I find that incredibly disrespectful. If you Batman fans are such admirers of 'The Dark Knight Returns', then why can't you make a film about an old Indiana Jones? I guess you're in the minority then when we're all in 2008 to witness to "the return of the great adventure".

Or is it because Ford will be much fitter than you when you're sixty-five? :woot:

While I know TDK is going to beat Indy in quality and box office (thats right, quote me) I don't get the hate for Indy and all the older guys.

People said that about Rocky and Rocky Balboa is one of the best in that series. I hope the same goes for Rambo. Indy is going to kick ass, just not as much as TDK.

Yeah, I mean Batman Begins is in my personal top ten, and The Last Crusade would probably in my top twenty. That kinda measures my hype for both sequels.

Rocky Balboa was crap. These guys should have left the past alone.

The problem is...this is a batman forum talking about the dark knight.

The dark knight will definetly be the most popular film around here.

This does not mean the general public view TDK as the most anticipated film.

Moreover, there is alot of batman fans as well...

I think Rocky Balboa was the second or so best in the series and dont have a problem with old ass, tired individuals, in fact I love it when people revisit franchises years later with a serious approach. I just thought people in general like to complain about it when a movie sequel comes out years later or an actor tries to go back to his old role. When the Batman Begins trailer played at the midnight showing of "The Village" (I know :-/) this girl behind me said "tehy're remaking Batman, thats gay". And people rolled their eyes at CROCODILE DUNDEE IN LOS ANGELES somehow.

Hmmm...Bats and Indy battling again...

I know it would be the opposite in an Indy board. Most people would say, "oh Indy this and TDK is worse that and yadda-yadda-yadda." Of course TDK will be like more, as you said. I loved Indiana as a kid along with Batman. Both are about equal... [I don't want my arse kicked]

@ Dr. Jones- :yay:
