Indiana Jones V

Talk about all things we hope/want/will happen in possible indiana jones 5.

A Journey to the Center of the Earth-ish exploration adventure film. I don't know what the MacGuffin would be, but I think Spielberg and Lucas could get creative with the concept. Or Indiana Jones Vs. Universal Monsters (I say this because I know it's impossible due to Indy being with Paramount).

Meh, I don't want him going to the Center of the Earth.

I WANT MORE ALIENS!!!
LOL!
No...
How about a search for the Spear of Longinus or bring the Ark of the Covenant back somehow. Make it come full circle.

No. No Ark. No Raiders stuff. If you want that go watch Raiders or watch LC with plenty of Raiders references for its own good.

Ya and we already know where the ark ended up in kingdom. I would go for some other object/place. Like king arthur stuff, atlantis, buremda triangle,etc.....

We already have seen Atlantis in a video game. I want something new for a movie.

I just want the main location to be somewhere cold as hell and snowy this time.

Make it an artifiact/thing from Norse mythology, like Thor's hammer or Mimir's Spring, or make up an artifact that fits Norse mythology... like... I dunno... The Eye of Odin.

I know that I was just saying some things as examples.

Watch Raiders and then Crystal Skull. It will be very apparent how off track this series has gone in virtually every aspect especially the look or cinematography where everything looked CGI and very confining as though many of the scenes were filmed on a soundstage which I'm sure it was and this may be true of the 1st movie too but the key is that it didn't appear to be.

Essentially the 1st movie had an epic look and feel and I think that is what needs to be recaptured for Indy V. If this isn't possible from whatever reason then I don't see the point of making another one.

Yes there was more cgi in kingdom over the other films. But they did shoot on stage and real locations too. Plus u got to remember different cameras/fliters/lightings where used between the films. And same thing for cinematogaphers on the films.

Oh I know there are reasons for it but I think Spielberg needs to try to recapture the look of the first movie as much as possible and reduce the reliance on CGI.

Consider that the Raiders film originated with Lucas' desire to create a modern version of the serials of the 1930s and 1940s. With that in mind, this is where Crystal skull failed and the new movie must succeed.

Check this out.

There wasn't as much CGI in Crystal Skull as people think there was.

Well i personally dont care if he went there in some game that i havent played, i'd love for Indy to search for Atlantis :woot: or the Bermuda Triangle. Maybe it can end with Indy never showing up again :oldrazz:

Indy wielding Thor's hammer would be so awesome. I mean it's not what I'm imagining, but it'd still make for a good MacGuffin.

I wouldn't mind Arthur's sword. Or Eden. But I think that the Macguffin has to fit within the time.

No, but it was more slick looking and less practical than the other films. Also, the film missed Slocombe's cinematography, who had a knack for framing. Kaminski's was overly saturated, and hardly the technicolor look of the originals.

Who cares about topping the Ark. I just want to see something creative and fun.

That doesn't matter.
Atlantis is a mysterious place and has many theories about its location, society and fate.
Atlantis is a good choice to put in an Indy film.

Anyway, what other artifacts could he look for?
Cross of Christ?
Stick of Moses?
Ark of Noa?
Apple of Eden (or the Tree of Knowledge)?
Treasure of the Templars?

I'd prefer staying at the Christian religion.

I think it needs to be an artifact that if it fell into the wrong hands would have worldwide consequences.

I still like the idea of the Bermuda Triangle the best for the fifth movie.
