It's exactly because it's Marvel tv that people want costumes. Quake, patriot, Daredevil, Punisher, Elektra say hi.
Unless they have an in-story reason for needing to wear masks I'm fine with them being ditched.
I'm not.
I believe the official explanation is it's done as a sign of respect for those who end up with their face severely distorted as a result of Terrigenesis. Of course, it's very inconsistently applied.
I can't imagine Black Bolt not having a mask. The others are far more inconsistent with maybe Gorgon wearing it the second-most, but how do you do Black Bolt any other way?
Unless they have an in-story reason for needing to wear masks I'm fine with them being ditched.
Particularly since many of Medusa's modern designs ditch the mask any way.
Isn't Patriot just some dufus in a SHIELD jumpsuit?
They use costumes when the context calls for it and when it fits the tone of the show. I know people get mad about the Daredevil and Elektra suits not looking like the comic but the gritty tone they're going with wouldn't really make sense for DD or Elektra to be prancing around in spandex or a bathing suit, hence the emphasis made on wearing something that could realistically offer some sort of protection during a fight.
If the context is right then there will probably be costumes here, but I'm not expecting them to be running around in spandex and masks like the old comics.
Have you seen his comic book costume. The MCU one is a serious improvement.
I'm expecting something like DCEU's Mera and hologram Jor-El.
It's pretty much just a jumpsuit with a SHIELD logo. Nothing to get excited over.
Yup, pretty much.
Excited? I just said it was a good costume.
Sounds perfect for the IMAX experience.I'm betting everyone will just go round in bare chests with a tattoo on them for this one since he's also the show runner.
