Inhumans Inhuman Outfits

I hope they have a human influenced alien look for their outfits. Familiar but different.

It's Marvel tv, if you are expecting good costumes, just put a pillow over the face of that now. I think Loeb is one of these "what works on the page doesn't work in real life" jerks.

It's exactly because it's Marvel tv that people want costumes. Quake, patriot, Daredevil, Punisher, Elektra say hi.

The TV costumes of Elektra, Daredevil, Punisher, Deathlok look amateurish compare to the film's costumes. Godknows how Iron Fist's signature costume would like on Netflix.

I am hoping Marvel's tv costume department stepped up their game for this.

They don't need to step up their game. For tv budget their game is on point. It's just some people.... are out of touch.

Isn't Patriot just some dufus in a SHIELD jumpsuit?

They use costumes when the context calls for it and when it fits the tone of the show. I know people get mad about the Daredevil and Elektra suits not looking like the comic but the gritty tone they're going with wouldn't really make sense for DD or Elektra to be prancing around in spandex or a bathing suit, hence the emphasis made on wearing something that could realistically offer some sort of protection during a fight.

If the context is right then there will probably be costumes here, but I'm not expecting them to be running around in spandex and masks like the old comics.

I think they could go for Medusa's classic outfit but she doesn't have to wear the mask. I'm fine with her changing outfits every now and then like women always do.

As for Blackbolt, I want him pretty classic. He needs the cowl with the tuning fork, and also that pattern on his uniform. And he needs to be dressed in black.

Is Medusa's hair going to be entirely CGI or will she wear a wig for some scenes? That will be a lot of CGI to animate all the time for every scene she's in, unless they make it that she doesn't normally have long hair, and only in the scenes in which she uses her powers where it grows out. I could see them potentially going that route, although I don't like the sound of that. I would rather she wore a very long wig if she must. It would be rather cumbersome for Serinda Swan all the time though.

Unless they have an in-story reason for needing to wear masks I'm fine with them being ditched.

I believe the official explanation is it's done as a sign of respect for those who end up with their face severely distorted as a result of Terrigenesis. Of course, it's very inconsistently applied.

I can't imagine Black Bolt not having a mask. The others are far more inconsistent with maybe Gorgon wearing it the second-most, but how do you do Black Bolt any other way?

That's nice but that doesn't really factor into my statement, lol.

Comic book movies/shows tend to minimize the amount of time the characters spend wearing masks any way so I could see Black Bolt wearing one maybe for like battle purposes probably not in dramatic scenes. Particularly since many of Medusa's modern designs ditch the mask any way.

I was think about maybe a happy medium for the mask part on Black Bolt. What if he wore a silver headband with the tunning fork and a mask similar to Winter Soldier from Captain America : the winter soldier . Have his eyes showing and his mouth closed up since he will be mute his eyes will be needed to convey emotion and the cover for his mouth could also be used to keep his power in check. The headband ... think Wonder Woman (BvS) but silver with the tunning fork

Depends on the modern design. Obviously, I started this thread and posted two Medusa costume designs in the first post. The first is without the mask, the second is a recent comic that still has one.

The good thing is that they have their own ancient culture and most likely not on earth so you can get whimsical to a degree and not be beholden to contemporary human tastes. Masks or no masks they don't need our context.

Yeah they are secluded from the outside world. So they can get away with outlandish outfits.

Have you seen his comic book costume. The MCU one is a serious improvement. Also i will take the Netflix costumes over the 3456 variations of leather jackets the CW has ANY DAY OF THE WEEK.

DD and Elektra are near movie quality with the resources they have.

I'm expecting something like DCEU's Mera and hologram Jor-El.

It's pretty much just a jumpsuit with a SHIELD logo. Nothing to get excited over.

Yup, pretty much.

Yup, pretty much.

Excited? I just said it was a good costume. Also just because it's simple it doesn't mean it doesn't look good.

I will be disappointed if we don't feel some Kirby-vibes.

Scott Buck confirmed no costume and mask for Iron Fist. I'm betting everyone will just go round in bare chests with a tattoo on them for this one since he's also the show runner.
