Keeping them together wouldn't have propelled Capcom into financial hell. They were shut down because of finances, which is what I said moron, but the reason for their shutdown can be more closely pegged on a sweeping idiological change in Capcom them then generating losses that truely merited closing.
EDIT: Especially since the closing of the studio obviously resulted in the loss of two of their best creators and a lot of talented staff (who had left Clover as the completion of Okami meant their work was no longer needed on the project).
Only 15 people from closer will be rejoining studio 4. Clover was originally formed by mostly studio 4.
