I dunno if any of you are members of the Blade forum over at comicmonsters.com but there's a thread on there addressing the fate of Blade: The Series from Neil Jackson (aka Marcus)

The threat did mention a 30% increase in ratings for this week's episode, so that should be a good thing. I do agree though, Spike TV is ******ed if they don't realize what they have here. Aside from Ultimate Fighter and CSI reruns, Blade is all they've got, and it's what's getting people to watch their network. They've done so much to try and boost their rep, way back since they were TNN, and now they've got a flagship series that's done nothing but show marked improvement over the course of the series.

TNN is what Spike TV used to be called, and I think it stood for The National Network. They traded a ******ed name for a functionally ******ed name. But like I said, they've been the bottom feeders of basic cable for years now, and Blade's about the only thing getting them any press.

Before they were The National Network, TNN stood for "The Nashville Network." That's right, SpikeTV used to be a network that showed nothing but rodeos and country music videos. Not kidding.

Not really. The station is owned by the people that also own MTv.

Be sure to watch the show tonight and next week folks. The more people tuning in, the better for the show. They won't continue if many folks aren't watching, obviously, so set your alarms or something. Don't download it later; turn on your TV and watch it.

I want this sucker (pardon the pun) to come back for another season.
