So this is why Sony has been losing all of its console exclusives according to Ubisoft this is why 360 is now getting Assassin's Creed.

Microsoft revised the goal to 10 million units sold by the end of this year, and Croal isn't sure that'll even happen. Croal says that Sony was too focused on Japanese developers and its national launch of the PS3 that its American and European divisions couldn't get developer negotiation approval from the Japanese mothership. Microsoft maintained contact with Rockstar and others through this Sony silence, scaring up Xbox 360 versions of third-party PlayStation mainstays. Apparently, Ubisoft wanted Assassin's Creed to be a PS3 exclusive but couldn't steal Sony's focus from the initial Japanese launch. (So that's what was going on.)

The series of articles reminds us that Microsoft is still the new kid on the console block, but it's fighting to succeed in games. And with the PS3 finally launching, the Sony sleeping giant is waking up, renewing ties with developers.

Poor Sony, they are really bombing this time.

Sony is too big-headed and cocky to just adapt to the other standards.

When SD was out, they made the Memory Stick.

When HD-DVD was announced, Sony made Blu-ray.

If Sony adapted, they would be more liked around the industry.

I honestly doubt there will be a PS4. Take a look at Sony's stock, how many fiasco's they've been through, etc, and then take a look at how much money it took Sony just to launch this generation. I really don't think Sony will have that kind of cash in 6-7 years.

Dude Sony is just losing to many games, if it weren't for Resistance I would not be buying a PS3. I am going to miss not getting Bio Shock, Killing Day, and Alan Wake. Just because Sony is an idoit and favoring the other children basically and not giving everyone a fair share of spot light. Microsoft is like the step father/mother who swoops in and pats you on the back and you grow to like them more than your real parents. i.e Assassin's Creed. At least thats how i'm seeing it.

My dad e-mailed them because he was pissed I didn't get my PS3 when I was promised since I paid it in full and he knows how much I was looking at playing Resistance. So he talks to Gamestop and asks what happened and they told him Sony cut the production.

He then e-mailed Sony and asks what happened and they blamed it on Gamestop and said they were idoits and were'nt getting that many consoles and Sony never told them they were getting 8. They just like to point the finger away from themselves and pass the dollar.

They are mean and don't care for their consumers, I bet the loved it when that guy got shot because it was for their system and were like "Yes Americans are idoits and going for our system." :

in all fairness, that could very well be true. gamestop and i have had many problems like this, for example, when i pre-ordered final fantasy 12, GTA: san andreas, guitar hero, and MGS3: snake eater substinance limited edition, they put me on the list, and when i went to go pick them up on the release date, they had sold all the copies already. gamestop has a habit of doing this. so i wouldn't be so quick to point the finger at sony on this one, it could have gone either way.
