I say just make him fight Luke, since he's the new big boss, in LC Season 3... then season 4, once all is resolved, they can start H4H
At least we know the writers for LC know how to make Rand a fun and interesting character
Then give Daughters of the Dragon their show and all is good

Shang-Chi also happens to be about 75% less cool than Iron Fist, though.

Shang-Chi also has very less baggage and controversy (assuming you don't use his father) and can cast a male Asian lead, which is a plus.

Exactly. If they intended to make an Iron Fist movie, the show would not exist.

Oh well, feige has already said one day they will recast heroes like cap etc so one day there’s a chance for iron fist.

I remember Shang Chi was meant to appear in the iron fist series but for some reason they didn’t put him in. Probably for the best, better to not go down with that turkey. But there’s so much potential with Shang, I would love to see him done right

Marvel's damned if they do damned if they don't with both those characters
Iron Fist is white? "White savior"
Iron Fist is Asian? "Oh so what, because he's a martial artist you made him asian?"
Shang Chi? "Why is the only Asian superhero "Kung Fu Man?"

In terms of avoiding controversy, Marvel should probably just avoid both and cast a different character entirely as asian (I could've seen an asian Ant-Man, for instance)
or they can stand by and believe in their characters, so I give them credit for that

Ideal scenario for me would be......

Luke and Jessica get back together and along with Danny start HEROES FOR HIRE, with cameos from Misty, Colleen, Patsy Walker, Shang-Chi, White Tiger and others...

...DAUGHTERS OF THE DRAGON get their own series after H4H

SHANG-CHI gets his own series

PUNISHER should add a few new hero characters in cameos (an appearance from Robbie Reyes/Ghost Rider would be cool a f )

DAREDEVIL becomes the villain of the next team-up series DEFENDERS: SHADOWLAND with the characters of all series featuring.

Shang Chi would be an amazing announcement for disney’s New streaming service.

And I don’t think marvel were damned if they do or don’t, as long as they got an Asian front runner or director they would have been fine. Let’s be honest, they did do it and were damned anyway so good idea to do something different

How does it work with the characters in the Netflix series with regards to Marvel getting to use them on their streaming service?

Are Netflix going to keep the rights to the characters they've used so far as long as they keep making shows with them? Similar to Fox and Sony's movie deals? Or is it an agreement renewed each series?
