So, do we have any news from Hot Toys about more figures from Ironman 2? So far we've got Mark IV, WM, Vanko (Monaco suit) and BW. They must do Mark V and Mark VI.

nope, I like them too. Have most of wave 1, skipped on the concept series, and deep sea diving armor, etc. Don't at all care for those, picked up Crimson Dynamo, War Machine (Comic/Movie) and Marks 1-5 (Comic/Movie)

now I'm waiting on the 2nd wave to come out that includes the Hulk Buster as well as Vanko, Widow, Fury.
cool, i need mark1,2, 4, and then the next wave and some concepts

i saw the wal mart 6" mark 6 and war machine. i thought these were the same as the ones from marvel select/legend (the ones only sold in comic book stores and borders, well the mark 4 one anyway). i was surprised that they did not have the option of face plate open/closed. but at least the mark 6 had white paint in the eye areas. i wanted to grab them, they were only like 13 bucks each :hehe:. if they DO have the open/close face option I will snag em. if anybody has the wal mart 6" can they confirm/deny the open/close face option?
no they don't have that, but i was hoping they would make that for them. Even though they don't have that feature they are way more detailed then the Marvel Select figures and are a must buy for any iron man fan like myself lol

The Tony & Rhodey look good, while the Widow & Fury....ehhhh, not so much.

I think Blak Widow looks really good compaired to the female head sculpts for the G.I. Joe movie figures. The only figure I've picked up so far is the 6" War Machine. I've been kinda holding off of buying the 4" figure because I know once I do I'm gonna want to start buying them all.

That won't be entirely necessary, since we're getting more 6-inch IM 2 in the fall, good chance he'll be one of them.

I hope...
Key phrase "I hope" ...

The only confirmed figures left are 6 inch "Hangover Tony" in the Mark IV, Mark V, and thats it.

They need to re-sculpt a Mark II with correct colors, and a new Mark III.

The Mark VI and WM look great, but don't look right standing next to the Mark II and Mark III from the original movies line. The new sculpts are a significant improvement, that they make the two figures (Mark II and Mark III) obsolete in comparison.

I'm sticking to the 4 inch figures. Better distribution, better details (the Mark I and Mark II blow the 6 inch line out the water) and I have an actual chance at obtaining the figures I want.

Wal-Mart gets shoddy distribution first of all, then compile it with the limited quantaties of the 6 inch figures and they will only be exclusive to Wal-Mart? Yeah, not good chances for people anticipating collection the 6 inch line.

I mean I found with Mark VI and WM this week, and the Wal-Mart manager scanned them and said the item had been canceled. As in I just found them (they are ridiculously difficult to find) and they're not even going to be recieving refresher cases of the Mark VI and War Machine. Especially not now that the hype for the movie is over given that its been released already.

I feel the same way

figures that are difficult to find aren't worth the effort. If I find'em that's cool, if not, I'm not sweating it.

in IM2's case, the much better distributed, much easier to find 3 inch line just so happens to be vastly superior in detail, paint, etc. to the 6 inch line anyway.

I'm not sure what crack pipe you boys are hitting, but the 3" line is not superior to the new 6" figures. The 6" are far better, offer changeable hands, and the bigger scale allows for more detail to shine through. I agree that the original movie's 6" suits don't compare, but the WM exclusives are worth the hunt. I too would love to see a new MK II with the appropriate chrome-esque colors and not the fighter-jet multi metal of the first movie release. I'll take hangover Tony any day over the unmasked 3" figure we've seen, and the MK V looks amazing in terms of sculpt. It is a ***** that they aren't seeing as wide or as even a release as they should, but honestly I live in middle of nowhere CA and they had 15+ each the other day (got mine, and now they're picked clean). Just wait for the hype to die down and when the scalper *****es start offloading them at cost you can score them.

^what you jsut mentioned is how i should get Two Face from TDK line

the 3 inchers at least we get a villain without customizing :o
and Alamo, ill actually talk to him and see if he plans to do a Lash Mk2 cuz im not gonna make a comission, not when im simply not on that level of customizing, besides, Jin is proabably the best Customizer ive seen, thers like less then 10 who are in the same league as him, like Kyle Robinson, but they do really complex, really good customs, infact Jins has his own site

Yessss!!!!

I felt really bad because I saw one guy take like 6 of the 8 that was there and he left only one Mark VI so what me and my friend did was we said really loudly when he was getting in his car "damn man now all the kids won't be able to get those iron man figures!!"

@ astronut: The paint on 3 inch line is far superior to the 6 inch line. With the 6 inchers you have to sort through and pick and choose the ones with the best paint. I saw some REAL CRAP paint jobs on most of the 6 inchers, I was lucky to find a couple of good ones

IM2 3 inch > IM2 6 inch

Yes, those are the only "confirmed" figures, but there are more on the way.

MarvelousNews: Can you tell us what this figure Jesse Falcon is showing off from February's Toy Fair is?

Editor's Note: We have dubbed this the "Hungover Tony" figure, which if you have seen Iron Man 2, you will know why.

Hasbro: There are several exclusive 6" figures being featured by WalMart this fall. the figure in Jesse's hand will be seen there as well as several others!

so aside from WM and Mark 6, the rest of the 6 inchers come out in the fall?

does this also include wave 2 of the 3 inch?

The 6inch figures are 100x better than the 3inch figs i mean the 3inch line is aight an i do collect some but the 6inch line is so much better cant wait for mark 4 and 5

Then I must have gotten lucky with my 6" WM because it looks great.

I dunno about the 3" figures having better paint. I had to pick through quite a few War Machines to find one that had the red apps painted on right when I got my one and only 3". I agree that the 6" figures also needed checking, and I went through quite a few to find one with good paint on the MK VI, but when you find one that is without paint faults, then in all ways the 6" is better than the 3". Trust me, I can find some real turd 3" figures on the pegs and then unfairly rate the whole line on them, or I can look at the best of the run and make a real opinion. Honestly, to a collector, unless you need 10 perfect examples of each figure, then who gives a crap if most of them have blemishes? I'm sure the kids won't mind, and as long as you're able to pick through and find a few great examples for the collector crowd, then your argument holds as much water as the great salt lake.

Regardless, since the 6 inchers are printed in such vastly low quanities, it hinders the entire line. Therefore, I favor the 3 inch because not only do they look nicer, but they're printed in larger quanities. Therefore, you see a couple with some crap paint, it's alright, because there's literally hundreds more to choose from, in a multitude of stores. So you're guarenteed to find more than enough good looking ones. Whereas with the 6 inch, they're only available at one outlet, and you're lucky to find ANY AT ALL, so if you do run into the 6 inch, that's what? Maybe 2 or 3 figures at most? The chances of finding a 6 inch with good paint (if you find any at all) is like finding a needle in a haystack

the 6 inchers get no brownie points for that, sorry

Then I must have gotten lucky with my 6" WM because it looks great.

me too. The paint apps I've seen on mine and other people's 6" WM were practically flawless. Superb paintjob and tight joints, while I had to search for awhile on a "good enough" paintjob on the 3.75" version

Well Dubz, you're trying to fight two different and unrelated fights. I'm saying that on a 1 vs. 1 action figure, the 6" figure takes top honors. You are talking about a production line and quality control issues from a manufacturer standpoint. I don't know too many guys on here who really care if every other 6" figure was completely F'ed up as long as they got one good one. Who cares what the rest you are leaving on the pegs look like? I can tell you that both of my figures have excellent paint apps, and I don't care what the other 12 at Wal Mart look like. And besides, isn't the hunt part of the collecting fun?
