    Happy Thanksgiving, Guest!

Iron Man 2 Iron Man armor - Official Discussion Thread

I really liked one or two concepts from the first film for the armor, Theres one in particular that i would love to see as the mark 5 or a future suit. It resembles the new new a little, with the slimness, i really like it.

This one below is really badass in my opinion, i wouldve loved to see it as a mark 4 or 3. But maybe theyve used this concept for the Mark 5, only a triangle chest piece of course. But i love how it appears really smooth. Looks really nice

Looks like the iron man from the ultimate avengers movie.

Is the asymmetry on purpose? The areas between the head and the shoulders dont match from side to side...
EDIT:
As a matter of fact, the entire left side of the torso is smaller than the right.
Is this bad CGI, or what? Any experts care to weigh in?

That's not CG, and it's just the fact that it's a real armor on a real model.

maybe his right side (our left) is a little closer to the camera.

No, look at the "trap" area between the neck and shoulders.
1. Starting from the right shoulder, and moving towards the neck, there are two red rectangular plates, then a gold plate, then the overlapping red neck plates Much of the gold plate closest to the neck is visible.
2. On the left shoulder, again starting from the shoulder and going to the neck, there are two red rectangular plates, and a gold plate, but the second red plate sits almost directly on top of the gold plate.
Now, I thought that on the left shoulder, the second red plate should be moved towards the shoulder, uncovering the gold plate. If it did, however, it would now cover the first red plate.
There is simply less distance between the left shoulder and the neck than there is between the right shoulder and the neck.
It can't be a trick of perspective, as the parts from the right side clearly have room for three sections: red, red, and gold. The left side however, only has room for two.

Hell, I will make it real simple. I measured the distance from the vertical line that meets the circle on his chest where the two breast plates come together to the outer part of the shoulder.
The left side is 2 3/8" on my screen, the right side is 2 9/16.

Jesus H. Christ!!! It's just the angle of the photo and the practical suit! Drop it. You guys sound absolutely insane.

It's not an angle.
The suit is facing us straight on.
Please carefully read the part about the "trap" sections, look at the suit, and you will realize I am right.
:wow:

It's definitely got a worn look to it around the thighs

The asymmetry is even seen here, and don't give me anything about a practical suit on an actor. This is the display, and the asymmetrical trap area is here, as well.

Which is different than the trap area presented here, where it is symmetrical....

So what does what everyone think of the Mark 3.5?. I liked the original chest plate. This one looks plastic and fake*shock!*

It was basically how they set it up on the dummy at SDCC, imperfectly. No big deal.

It's just the right shoulder is drooping a bit, no big deal. Next thing you're going to tell me is that you see Goblin and Venom in IronMan's eye.

If you tilt your computer monitor 37 degrees to the left and wait till the next solar eclipse you'll see it.

:whatever:

Wow. It's not that big of a deal . It still looks sweet as ****.
