No, look at the "trap" area between the neck and shoulders.
1. Starting from the right shoulder, and moving towards the neck, there are two red rectangular plates, then a gold plate, then the overlapping red neck plates Much of the gold plate closest to the neck is visible.
2. On the left shoulder, again starting from the shoulder and going to the neck, there are two red rectangular plates, and a gold plate, but the second red plate sits almost directly on top of the gold plate.
Now, I thought that on the left shoulder, the second red plate should be moved towards the shoulder, uncovering the gold plate. If it did, however, it would now cover the first red plate.
There is simply less distance between the left shoulder and the neck than there is between the right shoulder and the neck.
It can't be a trick of perspective, as the parts from the right side clearly have room for three sections: red, red, and gold. The left side however, only has room for two.
Hell, I will make it real simple. I measured the distance from the vertical line that meets the circle on his chest where the two breast plates come together to the outer part of the shoulder.
The left side is 2 3/8" on my screen, the right side is 2 9/16.
