Iron Man Iron Man run time - under 2 hours

X-Men and The Last Stand were 104 minutes.

I mean without credits you hair-splitter.

Also, Favreau even said on his myspace forum for the movie that it would most likely be under 2 hours.

I'm not going to cry abandoned ship or say this sucks yet. I just don't want this movie to end up like the short and disappointing comic book movies. I like X-men a lot but I thought it was too short. X-men 3 sucked and was way too short. Ditto for FF, FF 2, and Daredevil.

Wow! I'm definitely surprised; it certainly doesn't deserve that kind of less than 2 hour treatment but if I suppose if you cram all the graham into the Golden Graham then there's no need to go any longer than it should. Still just as excited to see it!

Sooo, we get a third possible 2/3'ds of the actual suit time, and the first act to cover the creation of the suit and Stark background??

Sounds like a good quality origin comic-book movie to me. Strictly the meat and potatoes, as long as it tastes good.

I'm splitting hairs? Jesus, that's hilarious.

And it seems you've missed my point. X-Men and The Last Stand were the same length, yet X-Men didn't have the rushed feel of TLS because it was paced properly and didn't attempt to cram too much in. My point was that we can probably expect a movie more like X-Men, which most people (not you, it seems) agree was an appropriate length.

X-men was a fine movie at that length, but it could've been better, and Singer honestly wasn't that thrilled with the length either. It's just how it ended up with the schedule and time he was given. And something he sought to amend with the sequel.

Most fans liked X-men but felt it could've been longer, that's the general consensus that I recalled.

And without credits, both movies were about 95 minutes. Did I say X-men? No. I really don't have a problem with it at the end of the day. But usually the shorter ones UNLIKE X-men were not as good. X-men, Daredevil, Elektra, Fantastic Four, Fantastic Four 2.

Just FYI, Favreau's been saying it will be under 2 hours for over a year.

On IESB last year and he even said "a compelling hour and a half film."

If it's longer than 90 minutes, like 105, 110 minutes, that would be nice.

Hopefully not the 92, 95, whatever crap with the X-men and FF films.

Does anyone think that the movie will be 90 minutes or so? Man, I hope not

Based off of Favreau's comments, and the several movies he's made so far which were all under 105 minutes, I'd say it's a good bet.

MADE - 94 minutes

ELF - 97 minutes

ZATHURA - 102 minutes

Granted, all kind of short movies, but all very different and IMHO competent movies. Under two hours really might not be that bad. I'm willing to wait and see. I think at or around 110 minutes would be a good length.

I don't think this movie needs to be two and a half hours long, definitely not.

i think a 3 hour movie can be a good movie. ut yo uhave to know how to make an interesting 3 hour movie.
with more time you can get mroe character development.
i say 2 hours or 2.15 would be perfect.

whats shorter than 2 hours in an origin movie sucks IMO.

Action adventure movies are getting to long. I'm glad the movie is going to be under 2hrs some of my favorite movies are. Spider-Man is under two hours, Darkman is under to hours and Robocop is under two hours. Spider-Man 3 was too long and so was Superman Returns.
