I'm dead serious.

Now I have to spend a lot of time on the computer (8 hours a day more or less) because of my job, so I'm always careful to stretch my fingers and do hand exercises to make sure I don't get anything like CTSyndrom.

BUT:

I was playing Wii Tennis and I noticed that the tendon thing that leads into where your carpel tunnel is on your wrist was like hurting a little bit on my arm, just a little below where it my elbow is more or less, and yesterday I noticed pain in the same area while I was working, and after using playing on the WII last night I noticed it again. I'm going to look up exercises to prevent that sort of pain but it seems directly related to using the wii controller.

MY right hand has been in training for the Wii since I was 13 :o

I do get pains a bit when I play, but they usually work out of my hand before the next swing/whatever.

itll take a week or so to get used to it, then it'll go away.

just like i bruise my fingers playing street fighter games, your fingers become immune to it.

Zenny, the answer is how you're controlling it. I work on my computer 8+ hours a day too... but I had to train myself how to do it. At first I'd be in pain all the time. The key is keeping a loose grip on the Wiimote. I just got done playing some Wii Tennis... keep a loose grip, and it makes all the difference. Especially since it requires no buttons... just move loosely.

I only had it occur once. I was playing Wii Sports baseball. I was the pitcher and I was throwing really hard overhand. That added with squeezing the A and/or B buttons made it ache a bit. It hurt a lot but was gone by the morning (I had gotten the pain in the evening).

Yeah, I overthrow while pitching on Wii Sports, but other than that, no problems for me

The way I see it anyone that has trouble using the Wii Controller never use their hands that often. Sitting on the computer 8 hours a day sure does not help either :ninja:

The closest thing would be wii baseball. But that comes with the territory. Every other title hasnt given me problems.

I just think its great that my mom won't worry I'm playing videogames instead of getting some exercise. :)

How are you liking the Wii miss only posts once every 5 months. :p

This is why i most likely wont get the Wii,until a regular controler is made.Flicking your wrist is good, but it does get to you after all.Especially if you like to play games for a long time.

I've played Zelda for a period fo FIVE hours....no problem what so ever. You guys getting aches and pains work for a living or anything...?

If you find yourself hurting, you are putting too much into it. It is really only Wii Sports that there is an issue. Zelda I have played a LOT and I don't feel strained.

Yup, and it's because you FEEL like your playing in Wiisports that you try so hard. You try hard, you hurt. Happens.

LOL, you guys most not play sports in real life. Wiimote is about as dangerous as playing paper, rock, scissors.
