Is Audiobahn a decent brand for subwoofers?

This might belong in the tech forums, but this will get some attention a lot faster. I am looking at purchasing a 10" sub from Audiobahn and I wasn't sure if I was getting a good deal or if it's a rip-off. It's the AW1000N with 1200W peak and 600W RMS. I can get it from a guy I live near for $50. Is this a good buy or is Audiobahn overrated?
