I read somewhere that he was forced out of Marvel when they stated making their own movies & I havent heard about him in a while then "boom" his name is all over the place again. Just wondering what his standing with Marvel is.
He was forced out/resigned some years ago, yes. He is still an independent movie producer, he was involved with the live-action Bratz a few years ago, and apparently still is involved with Spider-Man, though probably not the Fox-Marvel films anymore..
I don't support a Venom project, I'd rather see that concept left alone. If the "spidey-verse" is subject for Sony-backed spinoffs, I'd rather see a film on Black Cat or Prowler.
Was he force out? I was under the impression he left to form his own production company, feeling he could do better on his own. I am sure he feels that these Marvel movies were popular because of the Toy Biz toy line, and not the decades of history they have with the fans.
This is why he chose BRATZ as his first solo film...
He is involved with Spider-Man because Sony has to let him, due to his attachment as a producer on the first three - I doubt he has anything creative to add to the mix...
