they better not end the final shot of the trinity running together with Batman in the center
I hope this is the case. It would offer a contrast to Marvel (who didn't obviously put the focus on 1 hero, but rather the Avengers as a team), but more importantly it would give the Superman character the spotlight he deserves. He's not my favorite superhero, but with his history he deserves to be the center of the DCCU.@spock & Tra-El, isn't it alittle bit early to be making predictions about superman being pushed to the side and batman taking over?
After talking to Mark Hughes (variety) I've come to believe that superman will be the 'big bang' of the DCCU in the sense that his appearance breathes life into the world (Batman rediscovering his purpose, Atlanteans and Amazons reveal themselves to the world etc.....) and that everything that happens from now on will be connected to superman in someway.
Needless to say I am certain that superman will be a central player (perhaps being even THE central player) in the universe but BVS's portrayal of the two characters and it's reception will determine which of the two will be the alpha IMO.
Personally though I couldn't give a crap if batman is the founder or the leader of the JL and infact I don't even care if batman beats superman in the fight (if he does maybe it'll stop all the whiney fanboys from calling superman OP).
What superman really needs is a good portrayal on screen (the first since superman the movie IMO) just to get the ball rolling and restore some faith in the character and whether that happens through him being a central character or a supporting one is of little consequence because when the audience warm up to a character they will demand more of it.
Is he basically going to be the DC movieverse RDJ ambassador role? Also shouldn't that be Superman's role? It seems like Cavill is being passed up for Affleck to carry this torch around. I'm not sure this is the way to go, but I do understand the status that Affleck carries as a bigger star an established professional in hollywood.
I don't mind if Batman is the founder of the Justice League, because he is in the comics, but as long as Superman is the leader, as he is in the comics.
I don't have a fear of this. Superman will be a controversial figure as the trailer establishes, which will make him the centrepiece of the story.I still have faith (somewhat...at times.lol) that Superman won't be neutered in favor for Ben's Batman.
well nobody can put butts in seats like the bat, so i don't blame them for trying to work him into any and every cinematic film they can.
As others have said, Batman being in Suicide Squad kind of makes sense because he's always had close ties to that group in the comics. Also, considering that the Joker and Harley are involved, it makes even more sense for him to be there.
As for Batman's involvement in this film, well we'll see on how his screen time is balanced with Superman's.

His appearing in BvS and SS is not "trying to work him into any and every cinematic film they can."well nobody can put butts in seats like the bat, so i don't blame them for trying to work him into any and every cinematic film they can.

i should have written, i dont blame them for working him into every film they can. not sure why i got redundant with cinematic film, but that's not what you were addressing, and the point stands.
