Is Celine Dion The Greatest Canadian in Canadian History?

My god man....have you never listen to Shatner sing ROCKETMAN?

The craziest part was that there were no multi-camera effects there: the pure awesomeness of Shatner's performance caused multiple rifts in the space-time continuum.

The Shat is such a fantastic method actor that when he was playing time travelling Kirk he actually through sheer force of will mastered the space time continuum. For awhile he used his powers secretly for the good of mankind....but as his waistline increased in conjunction with his understanding and becoming one with the universe, he, like the Organians, decided to leave the affairs of humankind alone (much like he does as Croatoan in HAVEN).

I listened to that shortly after listening to Batman sing I'm So Blue, and RDJ singing with Sting.

Terrance & Phillip got her beat.

EPIC!

For my money Neil Peart, is arguably the greatest living drummer in rock and roll. He's also a decent songwriter.

I'd pick him over Dion.

Here, I'll just give you all a quick glance of the official list.

1. William Shatner
2. Ryan Gosling
3. Pink Ranger
4. Wayne Gretzky

35,160,103. Iron Mike Sharpe
35,160,104. Celine Dion
35,160,105. KevanG
35,160,106. Justin Bieber

40,600,001. Andrew Bonar Law. The Canadian dude who we let be British Prime Minister that one time in the 1920's. Unfortunately he died after 200 days in office making him the shortest-serving British Prime Minister of the 20th century. Some say he died of throat cancer but most know he died from maple syrup withdrawal. It is a well known medical fact that Canadians don't survive longer than 6 months without a fresh supply of maple syrup.

For Canadians, our first musical experience with Alanis was a bit different:

:funny: She still should get brownie points for evolving into an actually great artist:

Canadians would mostly disagree that Celine is the greatest Canadian but please bear in mind that we're talking about worldwide. And most non Canadians do not even know who William Shatner is, especially if compared to how many people around the world know who Celine Dion is.

Shania Twain belongs in this conversation. And of course, Captain Kirk. The Shat man is world renowned.

More people know Shania than Shatman.

I think the opposite is true. Twain is one of the best selling artists of all-time, but people who have never watched an episode of Star Trek in their lives know who Captain Kirk is when they see him. He is a pop culture staple. But

:lmao:

Why are we saying any Canadians are great?

But... What?

My bad. Didn't meant to post a "but".

"Is Celine Dion The Greatest Canadian in Canadian History?"

No. That would be Wayne Gretzky.
