rubics cubes were always maddening, until i realized you could just pull the stickers off and put them back where they should be.
now that i have mastered their secret, i feel no more need to mess with such details.

It's just one of those retro cool things that kids nowadays like because it's retro. I was alive when they first came out, and it was the thing to have back in the early 80's.
