Clint should go back to being Goliath
Just kidding.
Just kidding.
I hope he becomes Hawkeye again soon. The Ronin character is just boring.
Also, bow & arrow characters are awesome random havok....Hawkeye and Green Arrow are two of the better characters of each respective company.
The guns weren't the problem with Hawkeye in Ultimates 3, the problem was he was an out of character suicidal jerk. I actually like ultimate Hawkeye in vol. 2 and the whole "anything can be a weapon" approach.
Not in the case of Hawkeye. He is able to angle his arrows to richochet and actually hit someone around a corner. Can't do that with a gun.![]()
That sort of just makes him Bullseye with slightly less sociopathy, though. The guns weren't the problem with Hawkeye in Ultimates 3, the problem was he was an out of character suicidal jerk. I actually like ultimate Hawkeye in vol. 2 and the whole "anything can be a weapon" approach.
I find them both completely useless. Neither has any real powers and is far outclassed by any teammate they're paired with (with the possible exception of ant-man lol)
Can't do it with a bow and arrow either.
Read Avengers #174 and see for yourself.
Clint should and probably will become Hawkeye again and the guise of Ronin should always change. Every so often somebody new should take on the guise of Ronin, that is the best way to use Ronin IMO.
Either way Clint as Hawkeye or Ronin should always have a Bow and Arrow.
Hawkeye has flat-out beaten She-Hulk, and run circles around Iron Man. He was the last man standing in the Avengers' battle with The Collector, and in effect, saved the entire team.
The thing that bugs me is his lack of a bow and arrows. Ronin, Hawkeye, Goliath, whatever you want to call him, Clint needs a bow and arrows. That's a defining part of the character. People keep maneuvering him into positions where he wields a bow and arrows, too. Just give him his own set again and be done with it, for Christ's sake. Ninjas used bows and arrows, so it doesn't even conflict with the Ronin theme.

He's hardly "useless".
Ant-Man beat the living crap out of an entire roster of Avengers, including Captain America, Black Panther, and Vision (just to name a few)...
Right. The modern believability of characters who reset time by making deals with the devil and become so angry they can touch intangible things and can warp reality on a whim. I could go out, take in a nice, healthy dose of radiation, and do any of those things myself.I'm talking in an actual believable sense, not in 70s and 80s ******ed comic sense (there's a reason I don't collect issues past around 2000, they were just too silly for me to read. Fine when I was kid, but I can't bear them now).
Comics nowadays are expected to have more maturity to them (in general) then they did a in the past decades. Having a hero with whimsical gadget arrows is ridiculous, especially since guns can do everything arrows can but better (as I previously stated).
