HAWKEYE : Fraction & Aja ongoing

Hawkeye is getting a new ongoing from the Iron Fist duo of Fraction and Aja. Its going to feature Clint taking on street level crime and day to day life away from the Avengers and he will have Kate Bishop as his partner. I loved this team on Iron Fist and the artwork is looking great. I know alot of peoplearen't liking Clints new look but I for one love it. The wolverine mask was getting old anyway and Clint doesn't have a secret id really so....why wear a mask? I really like the way Aja draws it anyway. Here are the links to the story

Thoughts:

I'm already on the bandwagon. Hawkeye is my favorite Avenger next to Cap, Panther and Hulk and it's nice to see him joining his team mates in the solo series route. I enjoyed Hawkeye and Mockingbird for what it was and this looks and sounds awesome. Take my money Marvel!

Fraction on another character I really like, damnit Marvel! I'll only pick up this up in trades if it gets some great reviews.

It'll be tough to have to pass on some Aja art though.

I think I could be down for this one. I like Fraction overall (yes, I even like his Mighty Thor) and by the time Hawkeye comes out, I think I can move on past the crap that was Fear Itself and his run on Uncanny X-Men.

I'll give it a try. I'm a little worried about Fraction turning Clint into a dick or having him be creepy and hit on Kate or something, but Fraction is still capable of good work. He's been getting better on Thor, for one thing.

Do you think I should hop back on Thor? Fraction caused me to drop Thor for the first time since I've been reading comics. I tried to like his writing, but I just couldn't continue with it. I love Thor too, so it was tough.

Sheesh! What the friggin' hell is Marvel's obsession with trying to sell us on Hawkeye??!!?? Every damn time, and the book is a failure. He's completely boring as hell; but, we get lame ass story after lame ass story. It was the one time I applauded Bendis killing off a character. I wish he would have stayed dead. (He's only been interesting with Mockingbird; but, Bendid killed off that relationship, instead of the character.)

I'll buy it; but, I won't have to like it!

I'm not a big Hawkeye fan (heh, liked him better as Ronin) but I love Aja and Kate Bishop so I'll likely give this a shot. I'll give anything a shot if it has a Young Avenger in it and these two have had good chemistry in the past.

Not too keen on Matt Fraction, but David Aja's work is beautiful.
