Is rap just techno?

Iam wondering this because they seem to be around they same thing just rap has odd lyrics what do you guys think?

I think techno is more experimental beat..be it repeated or new sounds and beats every minute or so..but I think rap (sorry to any rap fans) is just the same beat throughout the entire song with either repeated lyrics (which are usually..pointless) and one or two different verses.

So no..rap is not techno

Rap only has odd lyrics if you aren't from an urban area. I'm from a very urban inner city area and I get it, maybe you just don't get the slang of it.
